This is a great video, a old school tanker yanker with some great advice, knowledge of the differences between a smooth bore and a baffle tanker, and a reminder of what the industry was and could be again when it comes to us drivers, A FAMILY, A FAMILY, A FAMILY!!!

Rono Vadalgo I haul chemicals in that trailer and many other stainless insulated trailers every single day. I haul regularly out of Dow Chemical, Stephan Chemical and Kinder Morgan. You may want to check your facts before posting. When asked what we haul, I explained it. With over 600 trailers, we haul everything except food grade. We have Aluminum, Stainless, Stainless insulated, compartment trailers, and even 1 RGN for hauling large storage tanks for customers. I DO NOT haul fuel in that specific trailer. I hadn't hauled ANYTHING in that trailer because it was only 4 days old. The Altom Transport logo wasnt even on the side yet. I don't haul any gas at all actually. The company does, especially our Warren Oil division, but I personally don't. I run chemicals. In stainless insulated trailers exactly like the one in the video.

Rono Vadalgo if you notice the PLACARD HOLDERS on the side of the trailer. PLACARD HOLDERS are for PLACARDS. PLACARDS ARE FOR HAZMAT LOADS ONLY. THEY ARE USED TO COMMUNICATE THE RISK OF WHAT HAZARDS ARE ON THE TRAILER.

As a person with 4 years chemical (Tanker) experience that. I find it funny that this company is looking for the "perfect* driver. I applied to go with them and they pull up my report and see I had 1 backing accident while I was with Prime in my 1st year in trucking (had none since then) & 2 citations along with a accident report on a steer tire blown off my truck and hit the east bound side of traffic in NJ. I just decided I'll go with Time DC. Altom probably is a good company not by any means saying they not. But I find this funny how they searching for this image of the "perfect" driver. Then these companies will turn around and cry it's a driver shortage. Yeah ok 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@BringBackMasculinity1987 it's crazy cause you know as well as I know not everyone in the industry is not going for they hazmat endorsement. sixmagpies Most smooth bores are used for products like juice, milk and other liquid food products. The baffles and compartments are harder to clean and keep bacteria from forming. I cant speak for fuel and oil but thats the logic behind food grade smooth bore trailers.

Rono Vadalgo well I call bullshit that you have been doing hazmat for 10 years ..same principle you don't know what he does and you can't judge him ... only way to solve your rant is for him to make video so you can shut up..

This information in the wrong hands is critical, Driver discuss what he hauls in his trailer and how much he can carry , for us hazmat drivers security of the public and our selfs come first ,. The is good looking machine no doubt about it ,. But discussion the content that he hauls, not good for anyone,. He could had explain the function of the trailer with out commenting about his cargo.
