This is a great video. Clean, articulate communication style. One of the best I have seen. Solid effort and thanks so much!!.

Very well done, sir! I didn't want to put to much pressure on some parts (they were stuck with thick soot), Your video convinced me that they actually ought to come loose.

Best video I've seen yet on this subject... not many out there on these older bikes. I've got 2001 200 and it needs a top end rebuild, so I'm glad this is here.

This is the best video on the top end for this version. I’m glad they quit using this version. It’s pathetic how many times i have had to reference this video actually. lol

Mine was sticking due to a lot of carbon buildup. Be sure when reinstalling everything to install the roller guides correctly after cleaning all the parts. If the roller guides are not installed correctly then it can cause it to stick as well.

Try some citric acid and boiling water in the ultrasonic cleaner, it takes the rust right off the bolts in short time. I use around two teaspoons per litre. It cleans the old bolts up well.

Thanks a lot for this video, very informative. I actually set the moving notch in line with the BOTTOM notch of the guide (So the valve is more open) and I’m getting a ton more torque out of the bike. Whereas I had it set before were you pointed, towards the top (I believe they call it Langston setting) and the powerband had an annoying flat spot in the midrange

On newer KTM models, this valve can be adjusted. I think there is also a difference here, how high or low it is set. Will there be power at low or high speeds, what do you think? I want to try it on my 2014 sx150 so that there is more power at low rpm

Just get the oem parts from your nearest KTM dealer, get the part numbers to make sure you get what you want.
