I bought the NiceCNC guide recently, but have not installed it yet. It's one of those items that 20 people could ride a lifetime and never throw a chain. But the one time you do get a rock or branch in there, or your chain is too loose, and you DO throw the chain 50 miles away from anyone, THEN you'll say, "Dang, I wish I had installed a chain guide." It's good insurance.

Exactly my logic here too 😂. Also a great way to explain to misses why you need to buy another bike part🤣.

Yeah, great peace of mind. And the testing showed that it may also improve chain life too.

Thanks Guy, if you can, I’d go with the power parts guard, it’s a full polymer which can take hits, bend and go back to its original shape. That’s the downside of aluminum. And thank you, yes, she’s recovery very well from surgery.

Chain guard is usefull if you offroad. Hitting the chain by a rock at the sprocket engagement can take your chain off.
