Hey everyone! Today, we're taking a stroll down the vibrant streets of Glasgow! South Street Suspension Bridge is our first stop - a true icon of the city! Following Clyde Street leads us to the expansive Glasgow Green, home to the Glasgow 2014 Monument and a myriad of landmarks. But hey, we're skipping the racecourses this time!
Starting from Calton Place, where parking is usually a coin toss - some pay, some don't, it's a bit of a gamble! Unlike Hong Kong, no army of tickets officers chasing after you here. It's a laid-back vibe. Almost there, take a right, and voila! South Street Suspension Bridge!
Now, Glasgow is famous for its graffiti, and boy, do we have some gems! Both sides of the street boast some impressive artwork, with some real masterpieces tucked away. If you're scouring online for Glasgow's attractions, these graffiti walls are a must-see. Commissioned by the city, artists turned these walls into canvases, adding layers to Glasgow's urban tapestry.
And here we are at Glasgow Green! Passing through the majestic McLennan Arch, a piece of history dating back to 1728 - nearly three centuries of stories!
In the UK, it's often the historic buildings that steal the show, the older, the grander.
Time's ticking, off to our next stop - Cuningar Loop, just a 5-minute drive from here. Check out this bench, deceivingly modest at first glance but fit for giants! I sat down and instantly felt like a toddler!
Cuningar Loop is a massive outdoor playground, a paradise for kids with climbing frames galore. But hey, where are the adult monkey bars? Couldn't find any! Unlike in Hong Kong, where you can stumble upon outdoor workout spots, here, it's a different story. The disappointment is real!
Since it's mainly for kids, no filming allowed. But hey, there's a vast green field, perfect for cycling, remote-controlled cars, or even drones. Bring your own toys!
And it's a dog paradise too! Seems like the favorite outdoor activity for British adults is walking their dogs.
Last stop of the day - Albert Bridge, standing tall since 1871, a whopping 153 years of history! Located near McLennan Arch at Glasgow Green's entrance on the right. Take a look at the serene Clyde River!
