Have the same setup, 10 plus years of the flawless & trouble free snow blowing. The cabin makes it a real joy to go out in -30 degree weather and plow snow in a t-shirt, heated cab. Drinkin' my coffee, drives my neighbor crazy.

@grimlinmonk it has a set up very much like a car. After being in it for a while in the winter, you have to turn the heat down, even on the coldest day that I used it when the temperature got to 15 below zero Fahrenheit.

if you stick a metal plate across the top of the blower on an angle a foot-and-a-half that way all the snow higher than the top of your blower will be forced down into the blower and not over the top

From the time I turn on the engine on the tractor and let it warm up for 10 minutes.until I have it cleaned off and put away is usually 45 minutes. With wet heavy snow like that it usually takes a little longer, maybe an hour ot an hour and 15 minutes, but we seldom have wet heavy snow. There is 50% to snowblow than what you saw in the movie Anyway I am retired now, so I am usually in no hurry.

Nice tractor , nice snowblower , nice set up :) I was thinking about getting a new b series with factory cab , but I decided to go with a used b series with man made cab ( cheaper ) not the best choice I've ever made but it's definitely a great little machine;)

@rack325i You would probably need chains and even then you might only be able to snow blow downhill. I have a new neighbor on a really steep hill and I notice they park their van at the bottom, but I have never seen how they clear it. I think they hire someone to plow for them.

Very Nice Set Up ......The only negative I can think of is if you needed the loader to break up some thick crusty snow . I just installed a blower on the back of my Massey Ferguson 1526 ...Last year I had a hard time finding spots to dump the snow and ended up with some 6 foot high banks ...the blower should solve that problem ! Thanks For Sharing Your Set Up Cheers

grab a 1 inch thick piece of plexiglass 2 feet wide that way you can see through it and it's strong enough half inch 5/8 the width of the blower 2 feet wide five a stick on an angle out in front of the blower that way you can go over snowdrift and it won't fall behind the blower

Some people have this funny idea that you must wait until a snow event is over before you snow blow. We had 4 feet of snow over a 4 day period with no break in the snow so I probably went out 4 or 5 times during that period so I wouldn't have that much to blow each time.

Some models of Kubota tractors don't have a mid PTO to power a front snow blower. The "L" series for instance if you buy a standard L series you can only use a rear blower because they don't have a mid PTO but if you buy a Grand L they do have a mid PTO so you have the option of a front or rear blower. If you want a front mounted snow blower make sure the tractor that you buy has mid PTO.
@SMFCPACFP

Couldn't agree more. I love going out and using it. If I had a rear mounted blower without a heated cab, snowblowing would be a job I would hate.

the heated cab, that is another story. Inherited my fathers 81' MTD 995 tractor with 45" snow blower. He is his great wisedom removed the seat many years ago an sat right on the floor pan. Not for me. Back it crooked to handle that, an pucker factor of the cold steal is to high for me. You also end up sitting with your feet straight out infront of you, not bent like sitting in a chair. So first thing I did put a seat back in it. This raised my head a good 12-17 inches. My dad built a soft sided cab that just made it over his head. So with my nice new seat the cab has had to come off for this winter. Going to build a more ridged one next summer, that I can get into with the seat in place. So bought a nice new snow suit an mask for this winter.

Greg Ward and sore buts, from sitting on the wad of cash they didn’t pay for a mid or front pto and the up charge of a front mounted blower. Depends on how long and how often you plan on using it. Most people don’t live a “money is no object” kind of situation.

All the power it’s obviously putting out and you think rotating a chute could load that diesel enough to make it rev down? SMH
