Best investment I made for my BX is a 3 point mounted snowblower. Takes half the time of pushing, and the finale product is so much better.

I sure wish we could get that much snow. But I'm glad this year we didn't because I've been learning about my snow blower, the cutting edge and skid shoes. If I was constantly working on the snow I wouldn't have realized that I need to check my equipment before using it each time. Once again, great vid, stay warm.

I have a front mount snowblower on my massey ferguson gc1725. Love it. Works great. I want to build a snow pusher like yours to try out . Will still use the blower after I have a base built up. Great job you are doing!

I started with a homemade 60” snow pusher on my BX23S. I picked up a front mount snowblower and it is great for like 75% of storms. Heavy wet sticky snow makes the blower about useless. Perfect setup would be 54” rear blower and snow pusher on loader. Tackle any storm and move any piles as needed.

I hated when we would get a heavy, wet snow. I live 45 miles NE of Syracuse and have a 52" blower. We average about 6-10' each winter due to lake effect snow. I switched out the blower this past November and decided to try the FEL. Well, that was a PIA on my s-shaped driveway and where to dump the snow. So I went back to the blower. And learned about the float setting on the front end. One thing I did to keep the discharge chute clear was to spray a liberal amount of Prestone de-icer on the intake of the blower and a lot in the chute. No problem now at all id it's a wet snow. And the LE snow really blows out the chute. Cheers, Bob

Great tractor. Love the black smoke, shows she’s workin. Hehe. Ya you need a rear blower. That would be a great combination for snow removal. No snow here in PEI, only had one small snow event so far this winter. That was Dec 13 or so. 5cm or 2 inches tomorrow maybe, with 80k, 50 mph wind. So might have to get one of the tractors out. Have a good day.

@@BiffsEquipment I agree. This morning I spent 2 1/2 hours snow blowing the windows in my neighborhood. Our mountains have been getting it good this year, but the valley hasn't, until last night and I think I have over a foot now. So helping out 12-15 ladies is a good thing.

Got a BX2822A on the front of my BX23S. Couldn't see myself driving backwards down my 1500 foot driveway or keeping it straight. Decided on the heavy duty BX2822A over the lighter duty BX2816 after reading all the problems were having with ice and 1 inch+ stones. Last spring I was shocked at all the gravel the BX2822A had shot into the woods. I never imagined it could handle that much abuse! Have increased my shoe height thIs year LOL.

When the snow is this wet and heavy, speed works better than torque.. even tho it bogs the motor and is harder on the trans.. I get my driveway plowed much faster in high 👍🏻

Well Mike, Mother Nature is sure messing with us this season. 2 major snow storms, and she melts it back to nothing in a week. Nothing but some plowed snow piles left to remember it. Now it looks like 40's next week, so no plowing for us any time soon.

The big question when it comes to buying a snowblower for a tractor is: front or rear? Whatever choice you make, there will be advantages and disadvantages. But no matter what choice you make, the heated cab will always be an asset for your comfort.

Both front and rear mounted snowblowers each have their own sets of pros and cons. The front mounted their is no looking back constantly but with a rear mounted blower you can leave you bucket or pusher on the tractor. Strictly personal preference.

Wow very nice man! You got a smoking deal on it! That’s one of the reason I don’t have a snow blower is they are so darn expensive .. but I also need to use my loader through out the winter on other various projects as well which is another reason I push snow instead of snow blow cuz I don’t wanna be switching my loader on and off all winter long each time I have a job to do or something heavy to move
