Besides the pancake compressor issue, I distinctly saw you using a left handed adjustable metric wrench on right hand thread SAE bolts. I’ve also had real good luck soaking stuck parts in maple syrup overnight 😂

Closer inspection Mr. Haddix you will find the adjustable wrench was in fact an SAE Model... the bolts however, were metric. Maple syrup is the cure all for most anything! Thanks for watching! More videos on the way! You might find this one interesting...kzitem.info/news/bejne/uoycsIpoj5Omdm0 This week Isabel and Gabriel helped me blow the spring out again. I stayed dry! Kevin

How did you know the center pulley broke? Would the mower just not work?

Paul J, That's a good question. You almost stumped me with this one... When the pulley broke, the deck stopped working. I think there was some smoke too. The pulley separated from the base. Hope this doesn't happen to you. Thanks for watching. Kevin

There is a safety pin that goes in place after you crank the front up. It looks like you missed that

Chris, thanks for the comment. I stopped using the safety pins not too long after I got the machine. I could not see relevance of them. Could you share with us what they are for? Kevin

@@MillGapFarms Sure, there are 3 holes near the pivot point of the front wheel assembly. Normally a large safety pin is in one of the upper holes when the front wheels are level, when you jack the front end up you put the safety pin in the lower hole under the cross member so that if there is a hydrolic failure the machine doesn't fall on you, or a child, pet, foot, deck, beer etc. I would never leave my machine jacked up with out the safety pin in place, too much possible damage at play.

At 5:00 you still haven’t removed spindle from deck and it skips right to you with it removed. I’m stuck at that poinr

Jim, Sorry about leaving you hanging. The bolts that I believe you are looking for are top of the deck. The fasten from underneath with nuts on the top . To help you locate the bolts check out www.messicks.com. There you can create an account that will help on this project and possibly future ones. They have full parts diagrams for most all equipment kubota makes. I've included a link for a similar deck to mine. You will want to have your deck model number handy when looking at the list of deck options. In my case, there were about 4. All are pretty much the same but getting the right one will leave you scratching your head less. messicks.com/ku/93465 You will see there are 4 bolts on the side of the unit that hold it onto the deck. Looking at the video (5:04) you will see a heavy duty orange bracket with bolt holes that come up through the deck and attach to the side of the gear box. Those are the bolts that you need to remove. On a side note, while you have this gearbox out, change the gear lube in it. Yours may be different than mine. If you have the owner's manual check that for the correct specs. A quick search for mine shows it needs 80w-90hd gear oil. Prior to doing it, I would refer to my owners manual first. It is a lot of work to change this oil and it needs to be right. I hope this helps. If you are still having problems, visit our website and email me. www.millgapfarms.com If you can send some photos of what you are working on, that would be great. Thanks for watching our videos! Kevin

Jim, Did I not show you how to get it out. The big trouble on this repair was getting the pulley on in time to cut. I think they sent the wrong part and I really needed to cut with it. Thanks for watching and commenting. MGF
