Good review. IT"s expensive, but...by all accounts, it's worth it. This will be my next purchase. So many guys are saying its the fav piece of gear. Ill use mine for midwest late season hunts (easily gets way below zero and 20s-30s below windchill). Pricey but I figure...I"ll have it a very long time and can take it with me most places since it packs down so small. I'm 6-0, 200lbs so I'll get the XL also.

Hey thanks a lot for this review. I’m debating getting some Kuiu down and this helped my decision making process!

Stone Glacier has a better coat. Wind proof, better water resistant material, less than 12 ounces and more fill that actually remains warmth when wet. Only down side is not offered in cammo.

@@jasonhart1743 I'm assuming he means the grumman coat , it's definitely a really nice coat that's a bit lighter but I would be hard pressed to say it's a *superior* coat lol the actual outer material isn't as durable it's one of the ways they save weight.. and they have a much slimmer fit kuius outer insulation layers are really ment to stack up well with other stuff for extreme weather . I guess another benefit of stone glacier is the price savings though 😂 and as far as packs are concerned I own one from both companies and kuiu has the best damn suspension system on the market
