This simulation video shows a full robotic workcell with multiple Kuka model robots. The automation is coordinating tasks for material handling, geoweld spot welding, respot spot welding and dispense applications. Ultimately the assembled product is produced and delivered to an AGV transfer to leave the work area.
This simulation project started from early space planning and processing of required assembly tasks. As work was assigned to different robots and tools the analysis progressed to a more detailed reach study and safety clearance check. Controls sequences were validated through the simulation program to emulate the logic for tooling and devices. Finally the working programs for the robots were exported as uploadable files to the robots.
Utilizing robotic simulation allows our team of engineers to provide value for our customers:
Conceptualize robotic processes
Validate mechanical designs
Prepare offline robot programming
Analyze and recommend robotic work cell safety elements
Validate and optimize cycle times
Optimize and plan entire facilities
Reduce lead time for system installation and commissioning
Mitigate risk
Optimize the productivity and utilization of equipment
Set lean manufacturing practices
