It’s sound to me like a misunderstanding of kundalini and energy work. Energy work needs to be balanced with emptiness and wisdom. Emptiness alone will lead to a peaceful mind with a sick body and energy work alone will lead to an energetic body with a sick mind. Both needs to be connected to realize Buddhahood.

Very nice presentation. I loved hearing about how some of Delson’s previous practices inform his meditation, and specifically how he frames his previous practices in term of the conditioned

I've heard David say that TWIM is very good at getting people to attain the first three paths but that Delson seems to be an outlier for reaching full awakening. Is it possible that all the energetic conditioning from his training in kriya yoga and/or Patanjali-style one-pointed concentration did play a helpful role?

Hi David and Achariya:) I got it, it is a conditioned experience and all condition things are anicca , dukkha, and annata. Be happy!

Really wish he talked about the siddhis and also the 8th chakra when it comes to clearing one’s karma through kundalini.

He does say on another talk that you cannot clear your Karma. Karma is coming for us but it can be mitigated by doing things that lead to Good Karma and good results. Also the practice of Jhana will push all evil karma aside at death.

I experienced everything delson does. My Kundalini activated 2012 though. I'm not all the way through the video yet but I'm wondering why delson hasn't mentioned all the love bliss you get from Kundalini. The love bliss was definitely my favorite part. That's amazing to hear you guys talking about Kundalini! I know you guys said that metta isn't compatible if youre Kundalini is awakened already.

Yes it can lead to some good states but it isn't enlightenment and its quite impermanent. Attaining Nibbana will "activate"your metta and everything else. But keep watching the video as many people, some of whom we have had come here, wound up in mental wards. Be careful!

@@davidjohnson8218 that's awesome! Idk that's reached enlightenment through that exercises they just say it does. The one I did reminded me of metta it's just for those with active Kundalini. However you're right about it making you crazy especially if you're not grounded. They bring up our issues which most can't handle. I fully agree with you. Doesn't metta do the same thing though? A friend of mine told me that those with active Kundalini shouldn't do metta as they can make them go crazy as it brings up all their issues. I used to do it all the time years ago. I'm wondering on the difference between the two. The one I did was spreading love into your aura and surrendering to it. The second part was moving energy from your spine to the center of your brain. That's why I was wondering. Hopefully no one ends up in the mental ward from these excercises though! Thanks for the tips! I'm definitely after nirvana myself! I had to do a lot of shadow work to get where I am now.

Hey David, really nice to see you. I wonder what is the intent or the goal of this video? Especially knowing that Buddha did not support any of this?

Many people out there think Kundalini is the way to enlightenment. Its time to tell them they are doing a lot of work but it will not yield the result they are looking for. Let go kriya yoga and go for a tWIM. You don't know how many people we get who have been damaged by the practice.

All should take this as Delson's 'conditioned experience' of kundalini, and should not be projected onto every tradition dealing with this. Evangelizing one tradition over another does not make your tradition look better. His descriptions do not fit many other Kundalini Shakti lineages that do not view this as a forced activity, but rather one of surrender and non-involvement with ego. Value his insights on Buddhism for sure, however.

He experienced ALL traditions. This is what he did the first part of his life. There is nothing he didn't do in the yogic practices world. Read his Bio and see.

Nelson go find a shaktipat guru then do Kundalini yoga. Do the eye rolling one though as that's the strongest. After you receive shaktipat you'll have active Kundalini. Then you'll see how far Kundalini will take you. I got active Kundalini in 2013 but shaktipat gave my Kundalini the rising to the crown. Kundalini will take you to enlightenment. You just need active Kundalini first. If you don't the exercises will give you active Kundalini. After that it'll take you to enlightenment. You just need active Kundalini first. That's where the beautiful love bliss comes from as well!

Is there any problems if one does Wim Hof method as a side hobby while doing TWIM? I used to do it only for the physical benefits and health (breath retentions and cold showers from time to time). The meditation and spiritual side of it , I was never interested in. Never had any issues but thought to ask.

I would say there wouldn't be problems but since what you are talking about is likely a concentration method it may stop progress with TWIM due to confusion of both methods. I would stop doing any method related to kundalini. There is always a possibility of a bad outcome. There really isn't much to be gained other then some temporary experiences. my 2c

I wouldn’t say it’s wise though to pretend people don’t experience kundalini through Buddhist practice. Kundalini is not bound to a tradition or practice. There are plenty of Buddhist meditators that experience kundalini. If it wasn’t for working with kundalini, Zen master Hakuin would’ve died for severe ailments that were healed through the cultivation and integration of subtle energies and psychic faculties, namely kundalini.

He’s not saying people don’t experience it, he’s saying it’s not mentioned in the suttas. He even went as far as saying it’s equivalent to 6th Jhana depending on your classification system. That’s a Buddhist practice. Kundalini wasn’t really a popular concept until the early Middle Ages, or the dawn of the Tantric age, because it comes from Tantra, so it’s impossible for the Buddha to have mentioned it anyways.

My kundalani never awakens. The takeaway is that there can be NO experiences because it's I/ME/I AM who experiences & as long as this I-NESS with this Body exists the kundalini will not awaken.

Hi there. I found that practising TWIM feels like it's activated my heart chakra. I am concerned that it may have put my other energy centres out of balance. And I haven't felt particularly grounded. What would you recommend to counteract this? Cheers
