To Make Ivy Gourd Sabzi
Ivy Gourd - 1/2 Kg
Chana Dal - 1 Tbsp (Buy: amzn.to/3QOYqCn )
Roasted Peanut - 1 Tbsp

Urad Dal - 1 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/3KBntVh)
Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/3KBntVh)
Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2NTgTMv)
Hing / Asafoetida - 1/4 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/313n0Dm)
Onion - 1 No.
Garlic - 15 Cloves
Curry Leaves
Salt - 2 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2vg124l)
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/2RC4fm4)
Red Chilli Powder - 2 Tsp (Buy: amzn.to/3b4yHyg)
Water - 1/4 Cup
METHOD:
1. For the masala powder, heat a pan and add chana dal, roasted peanuts.
2. Roast the ingredients until they are golden brown and then cool them to grind into a fine powder. Keep it aside once done.
3. Take oil in a pan. Add urad dal, mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
4. Once the mustard seeds start splattering, add hing/asafoetida and onions. Saute for a few seconds.
5. Add pounded garlic cloves and mix well. Add curry leaves and saute.
6. Next add the long ivy gourd pieces and saute for 5 mins.
7. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
8. Pour some water, mix again and cover the pan with a lid. Cook the ivy gourd for 5 mins.
9. Make sure you cook until the moisture is fully gone.
10. Once the oil starts separating, check for seasoning and add salt if required. Mix well.
11. Lastly, add the ground masala powder, mix well and saute for 5 mins.
12. That's all, Ivy Gourd/Kundru/Tendli ki Sabzi is ready to be served hot and nice with rice/chapati by the side.
