Kurt Angle may be the only man in history who can honestly say he was the greatest amateur wrestler and the greatest pro wrestler in the world during his lifetime. And he did it all within the span of about 10 years too.

I love Kurt Angle. That guy is freakin amazing. He has it all. He’s awesome in the ring, on the mic and in every other way. One of my all time favorites wrestlers, hands down. I think he’s one of the greatest heels of all time. He’s awesome no matter what, but I think he’s a much better heel than a face.

amateur wrestlers judging pro wrestling yet never walked a mile in their shoes nor watched it and angle just went along with them, his guilable and he has admit to this, wouldn't be a surprise once angle made the jump to pro wrestling and pro wrestlers looking down on him
@sweetride27

Its completely understandable for amateur wrestlers to look down on pro wrestlers given the near constant confusion between the two when people like Kurt told people they’re a wrestler. Making weight every single week and competing in the purest sport on earth and people going “oh you take chair shots?” would get annoying and irritating fast. Its like if MMA fighters were told the same thing when they’re doing genuine competition with real risks, not that pro wrestling doesnt have risks, but its just not the same.

Try telling you buddy bret that losing isn’t important mr Lambsturd!!….. Bret sucked, he was great as a tag team, even great as intercontinental champ, but to put him as the biggest and best in the world as the champion was far to much for even the most creative of child’s imaginations…..
