Angle-Benoit was special. It was intense, it was old school, it was real. When Kurt said that he Chris cared more about getting pops than telling a story, well hell yes, that's the way it should be. It’s a hard thing to talk about he’s talking about a really good friend and coworker that committed murder. It’s not something he understands or really has insight to. Chavo is probably the one who knows the most and even he doesn’t have much he can say. Nobody was in the house when it happened so everything is speculation. If you look at Chris’s eyes in his final match in ECW when he stares at CM Punk it’s very telling though. CM Punk is staring dead in Benoit’s eyes intense as hell and Chris is staring right through Punk like he’s not even there.

Kurt was feeling good and had the extra confidence talking while on those Vicodin. When I’d get them for my back I’d always stalk up on some for our football games, as a RB, if I had 4-6 I really wouldn’t feel pain getting tackled and the typical bumps didn’t bother him and felt like I had more energy on defense and would hit harder on those. The next mornings driving to watch film id smoke bowls of green on the way there and remember it half felt like I was in a car wreck feeling rough, but the green made me manage it. Ik those pills were too good to be true to take everyday and still feel effects. It’s crazy to think I was only 16, and my doctor was willing to give me hydro 10mgs by junior year. So many fake friends once they found out you had pain pill scripts. They’re evil.

@phantomthief3621

What they did was horrible too but look at the differences. His innocent son was killed by him. Snuka didn't kill a child neither did the other person you mentioned that's the big difference there. If it was just Nancy that was killed it may have been different being it was still a horrible act but being Daniel was killed is where the huge problems draw attention too and that's why majority hate him. It still hurts me 14 years later because he was my favorite wrestler and still is from his matches and theme song etc but being his boy was killed by him there will be no absolute reason to put him in HOF, no one will applaud a child murder like that

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it till the day I die, Chris Benoit was one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and he always will be. He truly made wrestling an art form, something today’s wrestlers fail miserably at. His matches with angle were phenomenal because Kurt was the same. I would put those two not just in the top 10 but in the top 5 greatest of all time. Over the course of 3 days in June of 2007, Chris murdered his family and then himself. This single act erased everything he did in that ring, 20+ years of hard work overshadowed by a heinous act that ppl rightfully can’t get over and probably never will. No one can know what Chris was thinking, his state of mind when he did what he did. I know that if a man has the mind of an 80 yr old Alzheimer’s patient then he’s capable of literally anything. I’m not excusing what he did but what would any of us do with brain damage like that? Who can know? I just remember being heartbroken and shocked that one of my favorite wrestlers was not only dead and had killed himself but that he brutally murdered his wife and son before did it. Sad day to be a wrestling fan, sad day period. There’s never going to be a wrestler like him again
