0:50 The reason we take it for granted is because when this stuff was promised to us, we were amazed. Then the device finally comes out and it was dogshit. For so long, the phones and programs didn't work the way they should have. Now some people go "how can you complain?" Because they made simple claims, we spent our money, and it turned out to be blatant lies in some cases. Apple even had to change or remove a commercial at one point because the commercial showed someone using the iphone and swiping around, but the phone didn't do that in reality, so it was false advertisement. And they didn't simply overstate or oversell their products, they could have done what they claimed, but it was mostly due to greed and ineptitude that it didn't work out. Finally after many years, we finally have the devices and programs that we thought we were buying like a decade ago. So it doesn't seem all that impressive now. Because of how the companies handle their business, wether it's skimping on components, or planned obsolescence, we have a perpetual bad taste in our mouths because they're constantly fucking us, when we could have world changing, society transforming technology, they're holding back in order to keep control on the flow of innovation.

I had to look it up, but was the Jeselnik thing just that he retweeted a New Republic article about comedy's "alt-right problem"? As far as I saw, he offered no commentary, just a retweet. Maybe he was trolling, or offering it as food for thought? I don't know. I like the guy. I really hope he hasn't hopped on the cancel bandwagon. It's such a silly article because it's pretty obviously not true. A "problem"? Just about ALL mainstream comedy is liberal. All the Netflix Is A Joke clips we all get recommended out the ass, they're always relentlessly feminist and liberal. I don't know if the people mentioned in the article even ARE "alt right," but if they are...the ABSOLUTE ARROGANCE to imply, when your side basically controls it ALL, that a handful of relative unknowns with a different viewpoint constitutes a "problem." Jesus, that's some brass balls. What's next, literary fiction and modern poetry have an alt-right problem? Haha. If ANYONE doesn't feel the way you do and wants a career in the arts, I guess that constitutes a problem. Jesus. Jeselnik has to be just trying to get a rise out of people. Him of all people? Come on.

Now he is hanging out with the cool beautiful people in Hollywood and he knows things have changed so he is doing his thing for them. You say oh his show changed and he let down his audience but he does not care for rum because he has a new audience and he makes more $$$ and believe me Stern is really only about $$$ anyway.
