Pre-internet days - I read an interview with the owners of the home used for the dinner scene in "Heartburn" (IIRC). Because they signed the papers, they were for all intents and purposes, thrown out of their house for a week. The construction of their home was altered at the bone-level to accommodate the tons of equipment required to shoot the scene. Apparently, nothing was restored, and when the owners protested, they were told in no uncertain terms, "Use the check we wrote you." Movie makers are just barkers and mountebanks with access to increased technology.

He doesn't know anything about guitars (I'm just stating the obvious) and at first he probably thought he broke a one of a kind piece of history. @@TheMrModders You can't buy a museum quality Martin from 1975 for 5 grand, let alone 1875. You are delusional. I really don’t understand the purpose of having the real guitar on set. Why would they request that? The museum had every right to vow to never let Hollywood borrow a guitar again. It’s like that Marilyn Monroe dress Kim Kardashian wore that didn’t even fit her, just use the replica the whole time no one would fucking know you are ruining history for no reason other than to be a part of history as someone who destroyed the thing. Not Kurt Russels fault though, in my eyes Tarantino is responsible.

Even if they don’t die they can seriously be injured. Kane Hodder in the wicked witch of the west both had permanent fire scars from being set on fire working on set, God died making the twilight zone movie had chopped off by a helicopter, 2 kids too.
