I bought the Kuvings Auto10 direct from Kuvings during their Black Friday sale and will be returning it after a few uses. Here are my experiences of it compared to my Kuvings C7000. 1) Total juicing and cleanup time is longer with Auto10 vs Kuvings C7000 for making large batches of juice. 2) More produce has to be cut up (apples, lemons, cucumbers, pretty much everything, in order to fill the hopper efficiently. With the C7000 only celery, ginger, and some greens had to be cut up. 3) The Auto10 strainer clogs up easily and quickly which slows the juicing process. 4) Auto10 extracts smaller amounts of juice from lemons limes & ginger that I add to a juice mix than C7000 no matter if pre-cut or not. 5) Auto10 pulp is wetter compared to C7000 pulp (probably because the strainer clogs up almost immediately. 6) Auto10--For large batches of juice I still have to stand by the juicer because every time, some of the produce (quartered lemons, cucumber chunks, carrot pieces, etc) just spins around in the hopper and I have to stop and gently poke the produce down down into the auger--I gently use a chopstick with the machine turned off. 7) I make 80 - 100 ounces of juice at a time and vacuum seal it 20-oz mason jars. It requires about 3+ hoppers and each time I refill the hopper, I have to stop & dissemble it to unclog the strainer and hopper cutter. 8) I do not recommend this 1st generation of the Kuvings Auto10. In my experience, it is not efficient and is not a time saver, at all.

Hey thanks for the review! I think a lot of us were waiting for this one. Just wanted to point out that juicing speed test wasn’t done fairly. You gave a head start to the Nama by doing some of the chopping in parallel, while the juicing had already started. So as a result, there was more prep time for the Kuvings test. There was also more talking included in the Kuvings test, too.

Finally got my Auto 10!! First impressions: The Hopper is HUGE I can fit an entire recipe and then some. The lid isn't an issue at all it sits pretty secure and away while loading ingredients. (They may have already improved it with mine, idk) As far as residue being left behind it depends on what you are juicing if leafy greens you want to be sure to have heavier produce sit on top so that it can be processed properly. I had NO ISSUES. I wish I could post a photo to show you all! Oh and clean up is a BREEZE I think they improved the strainers the holes seem smaller compared to what the Revo 830 came with. A lot less scrubbing for sure and that's without using the new tool. Easy open on the pulp spout is a plus too. I owned the Nama very briefly so I will say that the noise levels are slightly higher when comparing the two not that it's an issue but definitely noted. Besides that this juicer is a beast!!! I'm thoroughly happy with my purchase!! Kudos to you Kuvings for producing such a great product. I'll be juicing everyday :)

My Auto 10 doesn't always have alot of residue in the hopper BUT when it does, I simply scrape it down at the end and run it through. Problem solved. Takes seconds. I have owned both and I also own the Revo 830 and I'd take either Kuviongs over the Nama bc the nama is harder to clean than either and the Nama takes up too much space side to side. The bigger hopper, included sorbet filter, and easier cleaning make it a no brainer in my opinion. The Auto 10 makes more bc if you do a quick scrape at the end, IF you have left overs, it will produce more juice than Nama and it has a longer running time.

Hi John, thanks for all the work you're doing in the juicing community. I just bought the Nama 2 juicer (2/3/2024) and had major problems with detaching the hopper from the "auger/screen mechanism" after use. I've contacted Nama, and here's a portion of their reply: "Sometimes the safety trigger that goes from the top of the chamber into the bottom of the hopper can get stuck against the hopper. I've also included a few tricks you can try below: Put the chamber set in the fridge for an hour or two. The cold air can help reduce the pressure build-up in the chamber. Try soaking the entire chamber set in warm soapy water, and then try the reverse method again. You can lay the chamber out on a towel for a few hours until it is completely dry and try separating again with the reverse method." John, apparently there's a problem with the Nama juicer's detachment, based on Nama's response. I have a friend with the same problem. Do you have any suggestions, because Nama's suggestions defeats the purpose of efficient juicing? A two hour wait time in between juicing doesn't make sense.

The few seconds longer that it takes Kuvings to juice is really not a big deal. The residue left by the fruits inside the Kuvings hopper is nothing to me because, at the end of the day, I would still have to clean the Nama. I know I am taking a chance buying the Kuvings since since product is new but it also (like the Nama) has a 15-year warranty. I wouldn’t say the AUTO 10 won. Honestly the best part about the AUTO 10 is the bigger hopper (which isn’t really a big deal since it’s not significantly larger than the J2) and I will say the cleaning tool is a definite plus! Nama needs to come up with that next. You don’t use a juicer for smoothies. Get a Vitamix for that or any other kind of blender. It’s not the same as simply having an attachment. For me, I wouldn’t use that attachment for smoothies anyway nor would I buy the extra attachment for the J2 for that purpose. There’s no need for it. It’s still a juicer at the end of the day.

First, I take NO MONEY to make my videos from ANY company. I was given juicers at no cost to do my testing and make my videos. Second, I actually make MORE MONEY when someone buys a Kuvings than the Nama. I really dont care which one YOU buy. I want you to buy the ONE that will best meet your goals and needs, since each person has different goals and needs. Third, My goal is to point out the pros and cons of the physical machines and ALSO share my 25 years of selling juicers and being an "industry insider" in the juicer business. This is shared in my videos. I have seen challenges in juicer designs in the past, and observe how fast (or not) companies deal with them. My goal is to convey this information in the video so the customer can make the best choice based on what is important to them. I give a lot of weight to the fact that Nama J2 has been on the market for 2 years and had a solid product upon release, and have improved upon it. That being said, the Auto10 is a new design and Kuvings IMO with past machines have had a few design defects that needed to be corrected after the machine had been out in the market.

Thanks John for another great video. Very informative. We’ll be keeping our NAMA J2 since we have been very happy with it (we had it for 2 years or so). We are still using our Greenstar and will be keeping that too since the juice quality is really good. We would love a bigger hopper since we batch juice but our next juicer is going to have to offer more than the Auto10 over the J2. How about a bigger hopper and dishwasher safe juicer parts? We’d upgrade then. We love our Nutramilk and make nut milks about once per week, and we just drop all the parts into our dishwasher, sooo easy to clean. Maybe the NAMA J3 will be a 3 liter hopper that has dishwasher safe parts?? (with no need for a plastic screen cleaner). Look forward to the DJ review of the new Greenstar 5; and we cannot believe that Tribest has not come out with a Hopperstar juicer, yet.

Don't second guess your decision. Both are excellent juicers. Also, you got a GREAT deal on that Kuvings with the sale. He did post a video on the Kuvings the other day. I have a J2 and am extremely happy with it. If I were buying during this BF sale, I may have chosen K because of the extra parts (sorbet and cleaner)/savings. Kuvings has been around for 45 years and is a reputable company. The benefit of the citrus attachment is that you don't have to peel the oranges. It's a definite time saver although I've seen videos in the past that indicated that juice made from oranges put through a juicer have more nutrients than those put through a citrus presser. Either way, you have the ability to put LOTS of nutrients through your body. Congrats on doing something good for your health !

Well I was thrilled to get the $210 discount last friday. Though I wonder with the gentler sound abd assembly of the nama j2 would have been preferable. I chose the Auto 10 also for the sorbet attatchment is a solid piece, which seemed a nuch quicker clean up. I LOVE the auto clean feature is so excellent!! I am excited about the giant hopper. Petfect for not only a US citizen but especially a Texan. Yay. The yeilds in both were impressive!

I used your code for the auto10 when your last video came out, but now I'm thinking I like the Nama for its compact size and design. I already have a sorbet attachment on my omega and vitamix for smoothies so those were not selling points. Hopefully I will love the big hopper size bc I'm super lazy with prepping, one and done is my motto. Also it seems like Kuvings appreciate my business more than Nama otherwise they would have a better black Friday offer, 80 bucks is peanuts

This was a great detailed comparison video. But you missed out one very important factor of the whole juicing process... the fiber trash texture collected in the other containers for both products. I was really looking forward to hearing you talk about how it felt and how dry it was from juicing. As most people will have experienced seeing it still wet and hold some unsqueezed juice. Any thanks for sharing these top two juicer in detail, as I'm currently looking at purchasing one of this slow quieter all purpose machines.

While the Kuvings can be assembled without a 6th grade education, the Nama is so much easier because you just drop it in place due to the tabs, instead of having to line up the red dot and the pulp outlet hole in the bottom of the bowl, the J2 is just better designed, IMO.

Kuvings is like the Lexus of juicers - proven quality and customer service. I own the CS600 commercial juicer and it is rated for 24 hours straight and have no problems in 2 years. While the Auto10 looks cool, the CS600 is the still the superior machine in my humble opinion. Why? Because it can juice WHOLE APPLES (notice how John had to cut these into halves or fourths), WHOLE CARROTS (up to a certain width), and I chop my celery in the same way that John just did. So I already save time chopping. Furthermore, the CS600 will juice the produce almost AS FAST AS YOU CAN LOAD IT. So in the time that John took to load up the AUTO10, I would be virtually done a minute later with the CS600 because it is going to juice almost instantly as you feed it. I just dump everything in there as fast as I can chop it. Also, it's so darn fast it smoked the the legendary VSJ843 (see John's Head to Head video) and John was feeding the produce in super slow (which wouldn't happen in a commercial environment where time is of the essence, and it can handle almost abusive levels of produce feeding). Also regarding Kuvings - I own the smaller vacuum blender SV500S and use it almost every single day for smoothies since I wanted more fiber in my diet. Amazing piece of machinery and no issues with it so far after a year. I wouldn't mind getting their larger commercial vaccuum blender and use John's nutbag method for bulk juicing in the future, but right now the CS600 and SV500S have made me the happiest health nut on the planet. I'm a Kuvings for life guy now. With that said, guys please buy all your Kuvings stuff using John's codes or after the 30% sale buy off of his website! I had an issue with a Tribest juicer and John helped me get a replacement. It's so worth supporting him so he can keep us up to date on these new machines!!
@eveoff

It's quite sad that the juicing screen needs to be washed in between a few litres. So the commercial juicer even if it can run for 24 hours, you still need two hoppers which is not a problem in a commercial setting because another pair of hands can clean the second hopper but at home juicing alone there is not much point to getting the commercial juicer.
@naughtyorgneiss
9 ай бұрын
@eveoff It comes with 2 hoppers and 2 screens. Which means you can make a crapton of juice at once, over a gallon before any cleaning. Try that with the revo or nama j2. It also comes with the filter bristle cleaner that you twist which makes cleaning the outside of the filters a breeze. Really the only time I spend cleaning is the inside of the filter.
@eveoff
9 ай бұрын
@@naughtyorgneiss i am just saying. Yes, you could intentionally make 6 litres of juice without problems and then clean the two hoppers but then again I could probably do the same with Nama J2 if I ask for them to sent me an extra hopper. All I am saying is that the screen on juicers have these limits and sadly there is nothing we can do about it. A commercial juicer with two hoppers is no different than J2 or Auto10 with two hoppers. On both you can do around 6 litres of juice before you have to start cleaning.
@naughtyorgneiss
9 ай бұрын
@@eveoff so Nama is going to send you a hopper that includes the screen, auger, wiper blades, and top? And it's entirely hot swappable like the CS600? I doubt it. I would bet money I can clean the CS600 screen faster than any Nama bc of the screen brush tool that cleans the outside in less than 5 seconds.
@eveoff
9 ай бұрын
@@naughtyorgneiss sure I am pretty sure I could buy it from them if I contacted them or it maybe is on the site, never checked. Either way. Having an extra hopper and a cleaning tool doesn't make it better.

I also don't think the bigger hopper is a big deal. If I'm doing a lot of juice, I can just cut more produce while the Nama is running, pop the top and dump it in, or stuff it in the hole while it runs. I also prefer the smaller size. LOOOVE the design iterations too and so far their customer support has been peerless.

Both these juicers are SLOW juicers and do not cause significant heat gain in the juices. That being said, after "bulk juicing" like 8 quarts in the Kuvings Auto10, I can say the juicing parts were MUCH warmer than the Nama J2 juicing the equivalent amount of produce.
