Kwame Whitlock has become predictable. He expresses anti-black sentiments, yet he's being recognized as an intellectual. While there's nothing inherently wrong with interracial adoption, Kwame failed to mention that the man he's referring to wants to raise his children in a color-blind society. Any child psychologist would advise against this, significantly when raising a child from a different race in a non-color-blind society. If someone is adopting a child from a different race, they need to take the time to understand and appreciate their culture, educate the child about their heritage, and ensure that the child socializes with other children who share their race. There are interracial couples who are doing it right, and I guarantee that they would disagree with the way this man wants to raise his children.
@ciscer1
16 күн бұрын
I have to respectfully disagree with you, Kwame. I have no problem with that man raising two black children. As long as he teach them that they’re not going to have the same privilege as he does as a white man if he does not teach them that the odds are going to be against them being black then he is doing that Child, big injustice.he’s Speaking for white point of view. Let’s talk reality. The worst thing you can do as a white parent raising black children is not teach them the real world that they are about to embark upon.

Nobody is saying they won't face issues. What I believe he's saying, or at least what I'm saying is that raising them with that being at the forefront of their psyche causes them to grow up with a psychological disadvantage. I'm a black man with the 3 black kids and sure I'll have real talks with them about who we are but I'm not teaching them to be strong black people, I'm teaching them to be strong people. It's a balance man and you don't want your children growing up feeling subconsciously inferior or subconsciously afraid of always getting screwed. I teach my children to be right with the most high, walk holy, sow good seeds and the heavenly Father will take care of the rest. Again I'm teaching my kids who black people are in the Bible and other things but that's a backseat to being a morally upright and meek person. I just think black people have overcorrected and went back into pride which is what got us enslaved in the first place. My 2 cents you didn't ask for.

I have dealt with black children who were adopted by YT families. And I’ve talked to adults who had adopted YT parents. I have to say it’s a problem. The adults have issues to this day cause of these YT parents who raised them in environments where it don’t protect them. Yeah it’s nice to not see color but the world does and it affects them mentally. I agree with Kwame with a lot of things but this one. Nah bruh it’s causes more issue.
