*Notes* 1. Do something you want. Don't pick what you think you should be doing. Start small. 2. Getting specific with your behavior. For example, read 15 minutes a day every time you sit in a particular chair. 3. Information + Emotion: Long term memory. Make yourself feel a positive emotion when doing a new habit to automate the habbit. 4. Redesign if it doesn't work don't beat yourself up. 5. Trigger, look for triggers from existing behaviors in your life to do the new things.

What a great episode and one that really helps me to understand how to form new habits. I’m living with a mTBI along with PCS for 3 years now and every new strategy I encounter with Kwik Brain/Kwik Learning is a bonus as well as confirmation that fuels my wanting to progress beyond my challenges with cognitive impairment and be successful in what I want to achieve. Thank you so much, Jim and Dr.Fogg. You guys are awesome!

I have been struggling with some new habits/ goals I would like to achieve and Dr. Fogg’s thought of using a trigger as a reminder sounds like it would work better than my reminders I have on my tablet and phone.

whats a good way to "fire off a positive emotion" when you're trying to make a habit? Like.. pat yourself on the back? jump up and cheer? or.. whatever works for you? :/ does this really work? :O does it work for memorizing stuff better, to tie an emotion to it? ... how do you tie an emotion to it? :/

I listen to your audios on the way to work. The problem is my mind wanders. I don't even realize I'm not listening until I've missed so much. How do I stay focused?

I think driving requires a lot of attention, you shouldn't listen to learn new things or listen to the same thing again and again. This is even true for memorization. I was trying to memorize something while driving, I was always mind-wandering after 2-3 mins. but then I did it again and again, finally, I memorized it. Maybe listening to his talks you can repeat the main points loudly to yourself as you catch them. In any case drive safe :)
