Great interview. Music is indeed a snapshot of our times and our individual lives. I vividly remember when I heard the first Fastway album and I also vividly remember the Flogging Molly (Dave and Bridgett) fireside acoustic sessions during COVID. I waited for the next session with just as much anticipation as I looked forward to the release of the next Fastway album.

Dave, and Flogging Molly as a whole, has been an inspiration for me for nearly 20 years. It's always refreshing to see an interviewer dissect the lyrical content rather than the sound and the instrumentals. I've never seen any of your videos, but count me as a subscriber. Perfect interview.

This interview interests me because I married Dave for 9 years, and we divorced 20 years ago. When he left me for Bridget I was suicidal for many years and had no hope, it's a miracle that I am here but I was able to heal it and now wrote a book about it, "Surviving Suicidal Ideation." Now Bridget is writing bad reviews on my book pages. I don't think Dave would ever do those things to me, but I hear him talking about hope, and I wonder why no one cares for what they did to me? Why do they still, after 20 years, come after me when all I did was be there and take care of Dave during his first four albums. I'm at peace, I finally get one win and they are still trying to keep me down. We should be peaceful by now.
