Why I love Kylie? because she is the anti diva, a beautiful person. And maybe not for you in US but for the rest of the world, she is the queen of pop. Since 1987 Kylie give us just pure joy and love ❤️
@JordiVanderwaal

OMG a US talk show actually having queen Kylie as a guest? I'm surprised. And I love how Seth actually took the time to mention moments from Kylie's career and show photos so the audience actually gets how big she is outside the US. Would love for her to appear on more shows, but oh well.

Not sure where this mindset is coming from. Her cover of Locomotion in 1988 was #3 in the US. The Fever album also charted at #3 in the US in 2001, higher than many European charts. She's been well-known here for decades.
@tylerkochman1007

@@callmeshaggy5166 she had two albums that were very big in the US into the mainstream. The rest of her music has mostly seen a more l more niche audience in the US. She is still much believed by a dedicated American fandom, but she deserves more from America. Out of a phenomenal discography that features fourteen studio albums (not counting her Christmas album). I’ll note, however, that that the five albums released in between between “Enjoy Yourself” and “Fever” were not made available in America until after she returned to the market with “Fever”, but that still leaves seven albums. It shows vastly insufficient appreciation on the part of the American market that so much of her music failed to make an impact on the mainstream charts. At least she has done very well on the US dance charts. And she used to be a perennial Grammy nominee for several years after the “Fever” era, but they have (shamefully) not nominated her since 2007.

@@callmeshaggy5166 Interesting to know. As an Aussie, we think of her as making it big in the UK, NOT the US. I honestly had no idea any of her songs had done ANYTHING in the US! I got the impression they had totally flopped there, so she just stuck with the UK

There are a few things that I feel sorry for USians about, and one of them is that you haven't had the joy of growing up with Kylie as a key part of your musical development. One of the most emotionally charged and beautiful shows that I've ever been to was the Showgirl Homecoming tour first night in Wembley Arena. It was her first UK gig after beating her cancer and the whole crowd went through an emotional roller-coaster that even 6 Flags and Disney would be proud of. ❤️

Thank you! I just bought Disco on vinyl! She reminds me of Erika Jayne (I loved her on bravo and her cool techno music videos!). She’s like that here in America. @@rvegas81 My favourite album is probably her worst selling. It's Impossible Princess from 1997, she wrote it after a cross country drive of the US and gave us Did it again, Breathe, and my all time favourite - Dreams. 😉 But I can definitely say have a look through her back catalogue, she's a diva in the same mould as Madonna, Cher and the like. Constantly changing, constantly innovating, always amazing. ❤️

“Spinning Around” is FAR from her best song. Plenty of her songs outrank “Spinning Around”. Spinning Around is great, but overhyped among Kylie songs (people rank it too high in her discography). The video is one of her best moments, I’ll admit (those golden shorts and her butt in them are ICONIC) But, hell, I would say that “Spinning Around” is not even the song on the “Lightyears” album, in my opinion. I prefer “On a Night Like This”, “Kids”, and “Your Disco Needs You” on that album. An incomplete of Kylie Minogue songs that beat “Spinning Around”, in my opinion (in no particular order): -Confide In Me -Where the Wild Roses Grow -Can’t Get You Out of My Head -Come Into My World -Too Far -Love Takes Over Me -Cowboy Style -Can’t Beat the Feeling -Chocolate -Slow -Step Back In Time -Word Is Out -Breathe -Break This Heartbreak -Glow -Skirt -Got to Be Certain -Get Outta My Way -Into the Blue -Dancing -Lost Without You -Supernova -I Believe In You -In My Arms -Like A Drug -Kids -Your Disco Needs You -On a Night Like This -Les Sex -My Secret (If I Take You Home) -Obsession -Right Here, Right Now (2015) -Love At First Sight (off of the “Fever” album) -The unreleased “X” album demo for “Boombox” -Did It Again -Give It To Me -Illusion -All the Lovers -Million Miles -Feels so Good -2 Hearts
