People should understand that these kind of kumite are done when you are extremely tired...long live kyokushin spirit always pushing forward. The last ushiro is one of the most leathal weapon when done properly like here. Love it

How right you are! Kumite usually occurs after the long training session... everyone is super tired. Osu!

I'm coming from Shotokan, and man, this is impressive. Kyokushin fighting spirit truly is something else. I admire these guys. Getting punched so hard and so often and still going on and going in over and over again. Greetings from Germany!

Cheering for the small guy. He knows he has to be a whole level above to survive this. Every hit he takes must be felt, yet he goes on. Kyokushin spirit is something. Congrats to both fighters.

Green belt just ego fighting, only relying on his weight and power. Black belt had really nice technique. However, no etiquette, no respect, never even bowed for each other. No real Budo spirit. Although I like most of this dojos kumites, real kumite and no sugarcoating.

To their defense it was a longggg day of fighting and they were exhausted. In the end me had a great social together after. All good. Osu!

Impressive. Stupid question: why do they never use the knee when in short distance ?

When practicing, I think its discouraged as it causes broken ribs which can disrupt training. I got broken ribs from knee, and couldn't train for 3 months.

Why does one of them grab the leg all the time, is that valid? I am new in Kyokushin and I thought that was not allowed. Is it?

In our dojo, as in a real fight, almost anything goes. We don't aim for punching the head, but other than that (and biting, scratching), almost anything goes... including grabbing a kicking leg and attempting a sweep. In a Pro Kyokushin match, if the fighter fell down to the ground or was taken down, the ref would stand them back up again. In our dojo, we do MMA as well, so if you can get a take down or submission, go for it
