I would suggest fujiyoshida (another town by my Fuji. If you are gonna take the time to go to one of these town, I would suggest fujiyoshida. More things to do and see and better views of mt Fuji

Hey Jord. I usually like your videos but watching you Japan series so far made me feel like you aren't really informed about the country? For example, you didn't know the JR pass does not cover all trains and it's only one of many networks and thus, ended up having a hard time getting from point A to B. Same with the self check-in hotels. You could have at least got a cheap sim card to be able to use the internet, that could have solved a lot of your problems. Surely you noticed how you had to pay there, i.e. using the tray, unlike the rest of the world? Or how clean even the public toilets were? Even their manhole covers are all modified and have many messages, usually representing the local council/popular landmarks. Try comparing these apparently not-so-important stuff with other developed countries. When you visit Japan in the future, you might like it more. p.s. those small white machines have gachapons in them, they aren't vending machines.
