This trip involved a 80km bus trip from Izuhara to Hitakatsu on a Tsushima Kotsu bus, and a 4-hour journey from Hitakatsu Port to Hakata Port on the Kyushu Yusen Ferry Umiterashi. It's a 55 minute boat trip.
Tsushima's Hitakatsu Port and Hakata Port have routes for ``Diamond Iki'' and ``New Ship: Umiterashi.'' Jetfoil also operates between Hakata and Tsushima.
This trip was about 70km by bus, but it was a smooth trip with no traffic jams and I enjoyed the scenery. At Hitakatsu, I was planning to eat Tsushima cuisine, but many restaurants had shorter lunch hours than the opening hours posted online, so I was unable to eat Tsushima cuisine.
I regret that I could have eaten if I left the bus one earlier (leaving around 7:00am). . .
There were no shops around the domestic ferry terminal, and only one drink vending machine was installed inside the terminal. There were no shops or cup noodles on board the Kyushu Yusen Ferry Umiterashi, so it was necessary to prepare meals in advance for boarding.
I really wanted to try Tsushima cuisine, so I went to Hakata another day and tried Tsushima cuisine.
