Rockstar didn't make LA Noire, Team Bondi did. Rockstar only published and funded it. It's not even made on a proprietary Rockstar engine, and definitely not on RAGE. And under the hood, there are so many problems with the LA Noire engine that even Team Bondi, if allowed to make a sequel, said they would start from total scratch due to all the engine issues they had to deal with. The game was basically duct taped together.

@@Billioncompany786well things aren't so easy bud. Let me break it down for you. The team behind the development of L.A. Noire, Team Bondi was shut down shortly after the release of the game and the assets of the studio were sold out to another Australian studio KMM Interactive. Most people who worked in Team Bondi moved to work for KMM Interactive Entertainment. This was when they were working on a prequel to L.A. Noire, called "Wh*re of the Orient". Unfortunately the game was shelved and KMM Interactive Entertainment would also shut down sometime in 2013. Adding more insult to the injury is that L.A. Noire didn't break records for R* to create a sequel. Remember they used a proprietary facial capture technology that cost millions and yet the game flopped despite critical acclaim. And R* has plenty of franchises to be worried about like GTA, Red Dead and Bully(a potential franchise). With R* taking years to develop and release a game unlike the 2000s, they'll only pick games that are so well received from not just critics but also the audience. So no R* won't develop a sequel/prequel for L.A. Noire. The remastered version didn't bring anything new other than the ability to play the game in 4k and have it ported to 8th gen consoles(PS4 and Xbox One) and the Nintendo Switch. Nothing much. However, not all of them are bad news. Brendan McNamara the founder of the studio Team Bondi, who wrote, directed and led the development of L.A. Noire later founded a studio named "Video Games Deluxe". This studio was the one behind the development of L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, and is now working on GTA San Andreas VR remake for Meta Quest(or maybe it was quietly cancelled). This shows that McNamara still has ties to R* and it's possible that this studio can develop a sequel for L.A. Noire 2 with R* publishing the title.

That would be pretty cool actually. To be honest, they could always just take one of their games out of the USA at some point. I mean most of RDR1 takes place in 1910s Mexico, and GTA London on the PS1 takes place in London during the 1960s. They are a British-based developer, so I don't quite get why their so worried about taking their games outside of America. That would give endless possibilities, I can imagine an LA Noire-esc game in Great Britain, or a GTA in Canada. Take it to an unusually seen location in gaming, a city never used in GTA before. They can't just keep reusing Liberty City, Vice City, San Andreas, because eventually that pattern is just gonna get stale.

I remember a youtuber went to LA just to compare it with GTA5 LS The game devs cramped the place to fit it for PS3 :P Atleast from what i remember

Rockstar went to LA five times and nailed it 4/5 times. Before anyone asks: Midnight Club II Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Midnight Club Los Angeles LA Noire Grand Theft Auto V

Love how rockstar reused assets from previous titles in this game like the yacht and hanger from max payne 3 are in this game

Wish there was more to do in La noire’s open world. The game was still good though

Wished they actually did the GTA mission structure with that open world instead of having the world be unlocked after completing all of the cases on the desk

L.A Noire is such an underrated game. When will Rockstar comeback to make original games/games that's not Gta or Red Dead?

Peyote would be a better fit than Hotknife for GTA 5 part.

I think the Hotknife works fine. I would've used the Tornado personally, that is the ultimate 1940s-1960s car, at least in GTA 5.

you can tell rockstar definitely reused some assets from LA noire and edited them when putting it into gta V.

Rockstar needs to think of another game like LA Noire set in the 60s and maybe on the east coast like New York. Absolute masterpiece, amazing map and very detailed and the places the storyline took place in really felt so immersive. Honestly we are in dire need of a more down to earth game like LA Noire its so niche its not even funny

Rockstar should of done a Doomsday heist time travel mission, where in the Facility was a chamber to travel back in time. and we went back to the 1940's for a job and we met Cole Phelps.

L.A. Noire has a certain tangibility in its post processing that gives it a very subdued, 40s-50s look, whereas GTA V looks like a blockbuster. Different strokes I suppose.

1: GTA V is much better 2. About the same. Both good 3. I like the very eccentric road in GTA V 4: LA noire has more personality 5: Both are good, though the "Clappers" sign is pretty good lol 6: LA noire is better since you can see more of the Facade (Interior is better in GTA V) 7: Both are good, but i like the palm trees they added in GTA V 8: Both are good. Los Santos on the sign is slightly more aesthetically pleasing 9: LA noire is better. the Building seems in better shape and fits better into its surroundings. 10: GTA V is much better. 11: Overall view is better in GTA V, but only because there is more variety of buildings 12: Both are good 13: I mean, its a dirty canal, how good can it really be. Either way, both are good. 14: Bridge looks much better in GTA V 15: Both are good 16: Better in GTA (Livelier) Alright, im bored.

The graphics in LA Noire seemed better than in GTA V. I know it is not but I like the crispiness of it

Yeah when I was filming it / playing the games it felt like GTA V had better graphics. I agree on KZitem watching it on my phone L.A. Noire does seem to have slightly cleaner or crisper looking graphics.

@@americangangster1911 also I have a sense of nostalgia towards the older games. Sometimes having too much doesn't mean it'll be better. All of these effects when moving around, shooting, etc does enhance the experience but somehow I don't end up missing all of these effects. Instead I think of the simplicity and how very little was enough to make one happy. Or maybe it is all just nostalgia
