"It's dark in the hallway!" was her big mistake...the guy in the room could see light coming from under his door! He knew it was a setup! Word had to be going around town that dealers were getting picked off. Everyone would be on edge by the time this went down.

Moreover, there's a good chance he lived in a neighborhood where aren't many kids or, if there are any, they knew not to be that naive. Or maybe he simply was an unapproachable person who scared away kids and soft people and the only people who would know on his door are his business acquaintances. At any rate, there was a good chance the possibility of a random kid knocking on his door like that was extremely low, so it was extra suspicious that this happened after the wave of drug dealer killings or after he got a hit on him (if he had an idea about that, which sometimes may be true).

@Howard Pearcey --It really is exactly the same thing. It's about a romantic relationship between an adult male and a child. It's based on Director Luc Besson's relationship with Maïwenn Le Besco, whom he started dating when she was 15 and married at 16 (when she was pregnant). What do you imagine you're looking at? The plot is stupid and riddled with inconsistencies. The action is unrealistic. What is even going on in this clip? The peephole is blocked so she puts bubble gum over it so they open up? Then what, he cuts the chain with bolt cutters so he can go in and kill the guy? If the guy with the gun had just opened up the door, he would have had a clear shot.

The ring trick. Once you pull the pin on the grenade you hold the handle till it will explode in 1 second so the guy can not grab it and throw it back to seek cover. Boom.

What i love about old school movies is of course the actual acting but also they dont tell you the connections of movies from that era. Go watch La Femme Nakita. Basically part two of this movie.
