I’ve been using Timeless Vitamin C serum for about a year now. It works, it’s affordable, and doesn’t irritate my skin. But lately I’ve added in The Ordinary Niacinamide serum to my morning routine and I’m seeing even better results! I have tried both products you’ve reviewed today but I’m not too impressed with them. Thanks for the review!

Timeless is awesome= still one of the closer dupes to the $160 Skinceuticals C Serum. Niacinamide is great for skin- definiely helps with brightening skin and fading pigmentation. Since I started using the good molecules Niacinamide Toner I've noticed a difference in brightness as well. 😃😃

This formula is very similar to Kiehl's old Vitamin C before Kiehl's reformulated their Vitamin C serum. L'oreal owns Kiehl's, Cerave, Skinceuticals, Vichy, La Roche Posay, and Lancome. Each of these brands under L'oreal have similar Vitamin C product.

I bought this at Target the other day and interested to try it. I have very sensitive skin, and have been weary of using vitamin C because pretty much EVERYTHING burns my face except for the most basic ingredients. Practically can only use shea butter! I've also been confused as to whether vitamin C is actually effective because some people say it's super unstable and therefore ineffective, and others swear by it! I just patch tested this, so will try on my face at some point soon. I'm not sure my skin will like the dimethicone or hyaluronic acid in there but...worth a shot!

I enjoy the Vitamin C serum from Vichy. Also, the Paula's Choice is a nice option as well. Pixi has one as too but You need to use it right away - there is no stopper, so the product oxidizes really fast. Nice travel option is one from No7 - it comes with a powder Vitamin C which you dissolve into provided container. Reminds me of Vitamin C shots from Clinique.

I think it would be just fine to mix a little with moistuizer, I'll do this with most active products when my skin is sensitive or I just want to weaken it a bit to make it more tolerable for my skin. I especially urge people to do this when new to vitamin c, aha's, and Retinol. It can make adding it to a routine so much easier. I'm sure some people will disagree with your, but this has worked for me very well.

i would say the Timeless C + E Serum, or the other that I'm really liking is the By Wishtrend Advanced Vitamin C Serum. I also recently went through an entire bottle of the Allies of Skin Vitamin C Collagen Boosting Serum, but it is super expensive, and totally made for those with VERY dry skin- it is an oil based vitamin c, so I have a feeling oily skin would had the texture in their morning routine.

I just don’t go for drug store Vitamin C serums or creams. I’m so sensitive that I have to have the purest and cleanest ingredients possible. I know now that my hormones have caused my hyperpigmentation and nothing takes it away completely and I’m always on the hunt for something new or better. ❤️ I have been wanting to try the Wish Trend Vitamin C serum! It reminds me of the Cosrx triple lightening serum.

It is crazy that the Cosrx and Wishtrend Vitamin C Serums cost about the same as the Loreal... I've got so many favorite Vitamin C Serums... I just wish I could stockpile them without having them oxidize.

The problem with vitamin c is that it’s highly unstable and questionable as to whether it even penetrates deep enough for efficacy. Questionable as it’s just not heavily backed and supported by medical research. That said, the denatured alcohol actually allows for the cereve product to penetrate deeper. There’s no way someone would see more viable results associated solely from vitamin c in this product than with cereve. Also, how can you tell from testing this product that it seems to “do a good job defending against pollution and free radicals”?

I think 20 is just about the perfect age to start using vitamin c products. If your skin gets dry or red then slow it down even more, use it twice a week. Most people won't have sensitivity but it just depends on your skin and how sensitive it is.
