A nostalgic song for the elderly living in Taiwan who were born at least 70 years ago. Often at hearing this song, I am sure to feel invigorated due to the high-spirited melody. I don't want to take my stance in whether to glorify or disparage the Sino-Japanese war because there always seem negative and positive views on a past event based on one's disparate culture and sense of value. I love this song because I've been familiar with it since childhood and it's like an old playmate to me.

It’s a great encouraging song! I am from China, unfortunately we didn’t fight at the same side 70 years ago, which is still affecting us nowadays. I met a few Japanese friends when was in American college, who were polite and lovely. We were close friends, we studied, drank, and hanged out and had tons of fun together! Really wish that we can get thru those political and historical shit and move forward together as friends and neighbors. Respect to your people and country!

You've done an increduble piece of work because the sound, voice and images of this clip are quite articulate, distinctly visible and vividly appearing on the screen. If my memory serves well, I remember seeing this from a documentary news-film when I was 1stgrader in elementary school under the Japanese rule. Perhaps kind of propagandism, but in reality, those intrepid soldiers were devoted to their commitment and even sacrificed their own lives for their fatherland. They deserve highest homage
