I’m glad that P2000s returned to the gold line. If only the P865/P2020 were still around, we would’ve seen them on the gold line

Great cab view. It’s nice to see these out on the gold line again after 11 years. I do wonder when they’ll get their announcements programmed especially since the p2550s already have the blue line announcements.

Amazing video! It's so reminiscent to the 2003 Metro Gold Line (L Line) cab ride video filmed by Salaam Allah and uploaded on KZitem by Antonio Labanex Edward. It's just a shame that the Siemens P2000's back on the L Line don't have the automated station announcements on the L Line programmed yet. Hopefully the P2000's serving the A (Blue) and L (Gold) lines finally get their automated station announcements updated and programmed for the future A Line (soon taking over the "North" L Line branch) after Regional Connector opening once they get rehabbed at the Alstom facility in Vallejo.

The green light at the bottom reminds me of the acceleration/power light the TTC H-series subway trains in Toronto, Canada have.

Notice the station signs at a majority of the older L Line stations being refurbished into the modern black look in preparation for the Regional Connector opening. At 29:00, 29:30, 32:10, 32:45, 35:35 you will notice these refurbished signs.

I did notice that in Azusa downtown station. The gold bullet dots are gone. I remember seeing them a few months ago.

UPDATE: The Siemens P2000's didn't show much time on the former L Line (Gold) "North" branch (now part of the A Line (Blue)) in revenue service. Shortly before the Regional Connector's opening, LA Metro stopped running all P2000's on the A and L (North) lines for refurbishment at Alstom in Vallejo. Now all P2000 units that ran the A, E (Expo), and L lines are being assigned to the C Line (Green) after refurbishment. LA Metro might just "imprison" all P2000's to the C Line once all units are rehabbed and ready to roll in revenue service.

@@flattrain5834 But Siemens P2000 cars 229, 230, 232, 235, 236, 237, 241, 247, 301, and 302 are also running the C Line (Green). Hopefully it's temporary. Hopefully once all P2000's are done with refurbishment, the C Line can go back to P2000 cars 201-228 and the A Line (Blue) gets P2000 cars 229-250 along with 301 and 302.

Supposed to switch so that one operator just goes between Azusa and Duarte, but due to a train right behind the northbound one, this operator continued to union

If you want to be a operator for LA Metro Rail Operator, you must meet the requirements: 1. You are required to be a bus operator first, LA Metro doesn't hire light rail operators right away. I don't know the rest of applying on how to become a train operator. 2. To become a bus driver, you are required to get a Commercial Driver's License, applying for a non-commercial driver's license won't make you eligible.
