I like that LA has high floor light rail trains with high platforms. This means there’s no awkward stairs inside the train. It’s the same level the whole length of each car

In my opinion it makes it feel more like a real train than a tram or trolley

Compared to the Breda 2550? No comparison. From an industrial design pov, the 3010 is an ugly duckling. I'd say "to each their own" but unfortunately everyone has to look at them.

That Toyo Denki IGBT-VVVF somehow sounds like the Mitsubishi IGBT-VVVF of the MTR K-train.

It includes the same tone of NJ’s PATH Train and Jakarta MRT because its IGBT-VVVF!
@tomwujek4867

@@RalphZacharyPBano Although both PATH and the Jakarta MRT use IGBT-VVVF inverters, inveters don't always have the same sound. PATH uses inverters from Siemens, Jakarta MRT and the Los Angeles P3010 use inverters from Toyo Denki. It all depends on line voltage, motor rating (lower power vs higher power), propulsion architecture, vehicle weight, etc in the specific design of the railcar.
