It gives a totally different feeling, this eruption. The one in Iceland was fascinating, this one is scary. Just because so many lives are threatened and disrupted in La Palma. Thank you for showing this, it really shows the anxiety among the residents.

This is a good occasion to contemplate what posessions I would take with me in such a case if I had some time. I probably wouldn't bother about furniture, but my record collection would be top priority. Then my bicycles, some valuable books, some expensive tools, documents, photos and stuff I created, my laptop and a harddrive and I'm good to go. But what you said in your last Video in the church of El Paso is very true for everyone: "We are born naked and we leave this earth naked". It's not important with what things we souround ourrselves but _how_ we live our lives and how we treat others. Our earthly possesions can be taken from us in a minute by fire or floods, so better not attatch to much on things. Your life is your most precious posession.

I once had to evacuate my burning home. I took my cat and my hard drives and some books. Fortunately the fire was put out before it reached my apartment - but there was a point, where I stood looking at the smoke coming out of the roof - where I said 'goodbye' to everything else, and wrote it off.

Just to clarify. La Laguna not tazacorte...The roadblock has been there for about three weeks now. The gas station Road leads to todoque. . There is a roundabout about 200 m past the gas station. That’s why you see trucks coming and going up the mountain. From the left road. Because the police are letting them in. In the coming out the other way. Behind the buildings you see in front of you.. A back way. Out. Behind the bank. Is a elementary school. To the left ,of the ciaxa bank. A tasty chicken place. Across the street from that. Is a café. Next to that is a pizza place. The direction to the right. Heads to Tazacorte. .

Those who are moving their furnishings out are the lucky ones. Hundreds of homes have been burned down and covered with the lava before anyone had much warning. And hundreds of pets and other animals have died. It will be many years and decades before they can even start to recover.

It's good to see this, instead of being told everything is normal there, and the pubs are full of drinkers, if it was not for the noise the volcano makes, it would be normal, well it's far from happy and normal, those poor ppl are facing loosing there land and homes I wish there was something we could do . Thank you for showing this.

And the pubs are full. At least I would go there. What else to do in such a situation? Also this person you meant never stated that everything there is "happy and normal". He pointed out several times how hard and burdensome the situation is for those affected but that the islanders live "as normal" as this situation allows and show solidarity amongst themselves. What do you expect? People crying and running in panic to the beaches? Are that the pictures you'd like to see? Not gonna happen. Life goes on and they will recover in the end. No offense, but reading many comments here and under other videos, I get the impression that some viewers feel only validation when they see pictures of people suffering and lamenting, the more the better. They will feel betrayed if the people affected bear their fate stoicly and move on to live their lifes. Interesting psychological effect I forgot the name for sadly.

So different from what we saw in Iceland, THIS is like a war zone but the evacuations seems to be well organised and I see no panic which is good. I know that there must also be plenty of heartache esp. for those that were taken by surprise and lost everything, many homes have been lost but at least these ppl. will still have their prized possessions. It would be interesting to hear how the Govt. is looking after these ppl. are they being accommodated OK?

Not the same, BB is not in the lower area, except once where he went there (and to the port of Tazacorte too) but we didn't see much and especially not the inhabitants. In his videos there is no interaction with the Spaniards, I can easily imagine that he speaks Spanish though. He shows an overview from the heights to the north and takes up the information he has read or seen in the media and inthe authorities communications. While Gutn Tog, barely arrived, is already in the middle of the population and in the event as close as he has the possibility of being because of the roadblocks

I really love you videos, but its really in poor taste to visit an island who has evacuations and hundreds of buildings destroyed. Tourist are getting in the way and causing stress on their resources so you can shoot videos. I know people on this island. They are asking for volcano tourist to stay away. the locals don't want tourist here doing this and its disrespectful to do so. every seat you take up is a seat for a local dealing with a real tragedy while you can go home at any time. Ask a local how they feel about volcano tourism. You won't be happy with their response.
