Fun video. Found you guys after watching Tim’s LA record shopping vid. Rob, you’re right about Poo-Bah. I live 5 minutes south of Poo-Bah. Jim, I think I’ve met you several times way back maybe at an event at Brooks Berdan. Found your business card last night. Hope to bump into you guys someday. Nice gear Jim and thanks for throwing the vid together Rob👍 I subscribed to your channel.

The camera angle and seating arrangement gives the impression that Tim is about 2/3 the size of Jim & Rob. 😂

The 3 Zappa "Shut Up N' Play Yer Guitar" records were originally available by mail order only through an advertisement on the inner sleeves of "Tinseltown Rebellion". Those gold stamp promos are the versions that went outwhen you bought them mail-order, as I did. Score!

Great finds guys👍🏻 That Barclay Hendrix is the mono version of “Are You Experienced?”. The significance of the French Barclay is for whatever reason the Barclay company got ahold of the masters or (more likely) a great sounding copytape. One theory is the UK Track mastering was actually approved by Chas Chandler. The French were probably given a 1:1 of the mixdown masters plus instructions how to master (which they ignored). Exactly the same thing that happened with the 'Die Beatles'. Remember how the German Hor Zu Die Beatles sounds very present/dry (less reverb) and many consider it to be the definitive version of the stereo Please Please Me? Similar scenario here with the French Barclay for the mono “Are You Experienced?” But even more so due to the crap sound of the original UK and every other version of the mono “AYE?”. There is hardly any information above 6kHz on the UK Track. Basically, for many collectors, fidelity wise it is the best you will hear “AYE?” in mono form. Many have went so far as to say that it would have been better if the latest mono reissue had just been a needledrop of the Barclay. If they found that mono copytape Barclay had way back then…that would be the one to work from. Anyway, that is the story of the mono French Barclay “AYE?” Congrats Jim 👍🏻👍🏻 PS: What is the deadwax info on Jim’s copy. Is it this?: BAR 820103 A 2 BAR BLY 820103 B 1 The other one, "XBLY 820 143" is not the one you want. And to complicate matters further, there are counterfits of this title. Check your matrices…

I was feeling pretty good about getting an OG Trinity Sessions for a decent price. Then someone has to go and show an OG with the hype sticker still in the shrink. Further proof that the VC is toxic.
