Robert Huffman wrecked intentionally (while running 3rd) the 2 cars in front of him in the last 2 laps to win the race....fights ensued and Huffman ended up being disqualified and escorted out in the back of a sherrifs Dept car.... JUrry3 I think it’s the atmosphere of it feeling like something epic and the tv clips where something historic happened, the announcers are screaming and the crowd roaring over the engines. Those 2000-2006 camera shots with audio were epic. I personally think that the race is the show but I could see why someone would miss the crowd. dale sr. especially in the 1980's and into the 1990's would wreck anybody and nascar would do nothing about it. Rick Hendrick called out Dale about it Richard about it Nascar about it and I think even Ken Schrader said something about Dale sr. driving to Richard C. and Nascar. Until they return to a normal season without all the gimmicks (playoffs, championship race, stages, lucky dogs, double file restart) and let the racing tell the story then they will never have the excitement around the sport. Season long points standing. Winner of most points takes all. That makes EVERY race important again.

Look... everyone’s forgetting that a couple years before that, Dale and Terry got into it at Bristol and Dale backed off and Terry won that one sideways. Dale could have gone under him and won, but chose not to. So, Terry already got “one” on Dale at Bristol. Then fast forward... Terry was bumping Dale for two laps, and on the final turn, Dale returned the favor, and this time chose to drive under and take the win. It’s great, hard racing. That’s all. I don’t see the issue really? We can only dream of ever seeing racing like that again.
