This vlog sort of feels messed up, the poor mom kept pushing the camera away or asking him to stop filming and yet the camera keeps rolling :/ Like, laughing at her at the peak of a contraction? Or shoving a phone in her face while she’s screaming at 10cm dilated? C’mon… :(

@@jukihiw I’ve had 3 kids. My most recent is only 7 months old. If I was telling my partner to stop filming, or if he had laughed at me during my contraction peak, or if he had shoved a phone in my face while I was 10cm and pushing so that someone else could hear me at my most vulnerable moment, that would have caused me a lot of anger during a moment in time I should be focusing and being supported. It would have tainted the whole experience. But I agree with you that she likely agreed to the upload - I wouldn’t know, I haven’t watched anything else on these peoples’ channel. The fact that it was a normal labor and the thumbnail calls it “agonising” in big red jagged letters is enough to make one assume they’re aiming for entertainment and views, so it’s probably par for the course. The only thing agonising about it were all the cringe moments peppered throughout.

Yikes to the husband's behavior. Even if she did agree beforehand to be filmed, consent can always be revoked. If someone consents to sex, for example, and changes their mind the other person has to stop the moment they say to stop. That's how consent worked. She was in a vulnerable position and asked him to stop filming her and he continued filming her without her consent. This is not okay. It is not appropriate behavior. I honestly hope instead of continuing to get defensive, this guy can really take an honest look at his behavior and understand why so many people took issue with it. I do believe people can change, but the first step is understanding and accepting that we did something wrong. And we all screw up sometimes. And my dude, continuing to film your wife after she revoked her consent was a screw up. The very fact that she was screaming and really struggling through those contractions meant that she needed some emotional and possibly even physical support. Not a camera in her face. I truly hope you can learn from this experience and grow and become better in the future.

Let me get something straight here: did this guy hand his phone to the orderly and ask him to record while he wheeled his wife into the hospital? And how many times did she need to push the phone away from her face? And laughing twice, both times she’s asking him to not laugh at her. Clearly she was nervous and in pain, and all he cared about was “content”. Stop! No! Don’t! Those are full sentences bro.

🚩🚩 when mom keeps saying to put the camera down and stop recording for now but the camera doesn’t get put down. She needed your comfort and just because of what you previously agreed on you put a camera before comforting her when she needed you in her vulnerable moments. I understand you want memories, but mom will forever remember you holding a camera in her face instead of holding her and comforting her. you CLEARLY don’t work or have too much education in the field. that baby cried and then stopped and lost all tone and had secondary apnea and lost its color. the reason for clamping and cutting so fast would be because they were going to have to resuscitate the baby. as an l&d nurse as soon as that baby went floppy i would’ve done the same for the safety of the baby. 1 min of cord blood and a baby that doesn’t have to have help breathing is much better than waiting 3 min and have a baby not breathing. too each their own though 🥴

Yep, been there. I've got 5 kids, first was a 38 hour labor, next three 8 hours, so with number 5 I expected about that. Had prodromal labor for weeks. Then two days after Christmas, woke up with occasional contractions and bloody show again. Ignored it because I was honestly over it lol. Had a weird obsession to finish mopping. At 1 pm active labor started, still cleaning, and at 430 I realized contractions were less than 3 minutes apart. Told my hubby to get the kids ready. About 5 minutes after that I felt her head. Told hubby it was too late, call 911. They got there and the poor EMTs were just kids really, they thought they could get me there in time. They drove like we had the devil chasing us, I'm hollering my social and birthday through contractions, pull up at the hospital, wheel me directly into L&D, (I felt bad bc I'm quite vocal during birth) made it through a contractions, they checked me and seemed surprised I was complete, asked to labor on hands and knees, flipped over, and out my daughter came, still in the sac. It was wild!!! You did great ❤ If you have more kids, don't let them force you on your back. I've had 2 unmedicated now and that is the WORST, most painful position for most women. Hands and knees or squatting really are my favorites and feel more pressure than pain!

Congratulations!! 🥰 But really, I can't look at them pulling at your baby's head. This is brutal and unnecessary! German midwife here and I really can not understand why still so many women are being talked into giving birth on their back (worst position there is with literally no advantage to the birthing process!) and why they are told when and how much to push (that is very stressful for the baby! The mother's body naturally knows when and how to push and should not be forced to). And also, the PULLING at the head is giving me anxiety. You should probably let your baby's shoulder and neck get checked, it can very likely that with those rough touches they dislocated Eden's vertebras. Sorry to say that but I have to be honest... If you are ever to give birth another time (and it is very likely the next will be even faster!), maybe just stay at home and give birth without the stress and nobody telling you what to do. Home births are so calm and gentle and beautiful :) Just a little idea 🥰

I live in Mexico so things are a little different here but I called my OB and told her I wanted an epidural so her and the anesthesiologist were waiting for me. The anesthesiologist gave me a spinal and then placed an epidural as soon as I got there which I know sounds crazy! I was so thankful because I immediately felt relief and was able to calm down before giving birth. It still all feels like a blur though!
