You're welcome, I'm glad you liked it. That knot (constrictor) is quite sturdy, I use it for my big heavy pieces as well, and it's held so far 😊

An excellent tutorial for beginners! The maker uses slow, clear motions to guide you through the steps and includes great notes at the bottom for cut or knot instructions. Not a moment of frustration with this one. Thank you!

Você é maravilhosa. Uns dos melhores tutoriais que já vi. Muito bem elaborado, explicado e nítido. Espero que grave muito mais. Que tal fazer um video de um painel grande com cordão de 4mm? Bjsss

Can I ask you please how much cord for the first layer, and then how much for the second layer please? I´d like to make this in two colours. :-)
@stringtheorymacrame

Hi there, I'd say about 20m for the first layer and about 25m for the second layer. It also depends on the thickness of the cord, so I'd always get more just in case. I'd love to see it when you're done, tag me on insta @stringtheory_za :)

I liked this. Great instruction but it would have been useful to know just how much cord was needed in total before starting.

Thank you for the feedback. The lengths of the strings are in the description, so the total can be calculated, but I'll add the total cord in future.

Can middle square knot and diamond centers have a bead?

Sure you could add a bead instead of the square knot 😊
