I had so much motivation, early in my addiction. Then I lost all motivation. Thankfully, now that I'm sober, I've gotten so much accomplished, and I feel so much more on top of things. Making that progress now makes me feel better in every way. Small lists are an awesome idea. It helps to feel that sense of accomplishment. (Ps, I have bad seasonal depression, too. Thank goodness spring is almost here!) 💚🌸✌

Hi Jason! Yes, I absolutely agree!! Thank goodness for spring. No matter what as long as we don't use we are accomplishing a HUGE task each day. :)

I can't believe how I relate to everything you said. The opiate addiction is exactly how you said it! I am a stay at home mom of 3 and I also have a part time job that I do on the computer from home. I also have seasonal affective disorder that always hits in February. I did get the light box on Amazon a few years ago and it really does help on those days or weeks that the sun doesnt shine. I am a list maker and constantly trying to cross off the items on my list and beat myself up when I dont get everything done. What helps me so much now, is when I look at my list and see only a few things crossed off or maybe even nothing crossed off, instead of beating myself up for not getting my list done....I write a list of all the things I did do that day and almost every time the list of what I did get accomplished is longer than my original to do list.

I love that idea!! Writing a list each day of what I accomplished instead of what I want to accomplish is a great idea. I agree that I always feel like I got more done when I list out all I did that day. Thanks so much for commenting!!

So true! Yea I have found lately that things have been a bit better for me. I got a new job and although that makes me way more tired, I also feel like I am actually accomplishing something. Motivation is always tough for me but I agree that small realistic goals help a lot.
