I love how much emphasis you put on how many people are there at what time in this series. we also like to stay away from crowds so that is super helpful.

I saw this perfect picture of the lake on Instagram and it was surreal. I kept looking at other images on Instagram that make it look like heaven on earth. Now I know that pictures are edited at times, so I figured a video capture of this lake can't be too far off. Then I came across your video and it set things straight! Thanks for being so transparent!

Thoroughly enjoyed this Vlog guys, had no idea Lago Di Braies gets this busy, and during Covid! Also, never knew instagrammers paid €150 for private access on the boat house! 😳

As a passionate landscape photographer, I have to say I still managed to enjoy the lake at sunset and sunrise (both summer and autumn - much better in autumn). But even at those times, you can find every morning about 15/20 photographers trying to hike the few meters near the boat place to take the shot. Funnily enough, my most beautiful shot is from the other side of the lake.

It has become a very popular spot but for totally good reason, it really is an absolutely stunning place and no wonder photographers would like to get a good photo of it! :)

Hi! I live here in Italy and I always go on holiday in South Tyrol. I have known the lake of Braies since I was a child: before it was an oasis of peace and serenity, but since in Italy was broadcast the fiction "Un passo dal cielo" (2011), shot right at the lake, it has become a favorite destination for tourism mass - even of people who have never set foot in the mountains. Once there was not even the large parking lot you saw and access was free. Now everything is distorted. And to think that the lake is located in a natural park ... The owners of the hotel, in defiance of the rules, have had entire hectares of wood cut down to make parking. There is also a lawsuit pending, if I'm not mistaken. The place is beautiful and unique, yes. But as you have seen, now stormed by the maddened crowd. It's beautiful when no one is around, at dusk and dawn, as you have been able to appreciate. Great and beautiful video. Thank you.

I live pretty close to this lake and have relatives that live there. I used to stay with them over the summer sometimes and that was only like 10 years ago. I remember how it used to be, you could just go there for the whole day and chill with friends, have some food or just go for a walk and the only people would be those from the region. Ever since that Italian show they did at the lake the place has been flooded. And Instagram is just making it worse. It even got so bad that there were traffic jams for many kilometers. Idk the lake is probably one of the best in the world but I haven't been in 4 years because it's so crowded :( I am glad I got to make those memories and got to experience something so beautiful before the whole world found it! Great Vlog!

this lake reminded me so strongly off Lake Louise in Canada, scenic but overcroded with tourists, parking lot is already packed at 10am and a Fairmont-like hotel on the side. Though I strongly advice to see this lake once, especially go rent a boat and enjoy the lake away from the crowded walkway around it. Rented a boat for 30, but ended up being 90min (wasn't even upcharged) but from the boat you get amazing pictures as well

I LOVE all your vlogs/videos etc! Stupid question please?! So the only charge is for walking onto the small jetty (boat house area), the rest of it has no charge? Heading there next spring (May) with my daughter, so getting all the information in order to get more out of our time there. Thank you!!

Here’s the thing: it’s okay for other people to enjoy it. With nearly any gorgeous spot on the planet, especially in the social media run society, there are going to be people. If you don’t want to see people, don’t go to gorgeous places you found on social media. Also crazy crowds can be frustrating, but in the video, I didn’t see any crowds that were out of the ordinary. Be thankful that you got a lovely vacation that a lot of other people couldn’t afford. It’s okay to give your honest opinion but this felt a bit entitled, complaining just because there are other people present

Because of its beauty, it is popularization of it is inevitable. It is ironic that you both seemed a little perturbed by the amount of people at the lake; everyone who goes there (who are not locals), like yourselves, contribute to the number of people and parked vehicles on the premises. Thanks for the insight on the 150 Euro fee for private shoots.

It's crazy to me to see bodies of water that aren't encrusted by houses at every inch around the lake. In the U.S. every body of water big or small, clear water or the dirtiest scummy brown pond you've ever seen, will have houses jammed in on top of each other. You could drive around the entire body of water and not catch a glimpse. Really makes me hate the water rights we no longer have here.
