My Laguna lathe stopped working a few months ago, turned out the variable frequency drive died, had a dead short in it, tripped the breaker, very likely took a spike or surge in the power lines during a recent power outage, I have 2 previous videos explaining the issues ive had and the fact that Laguna wanted to charge me $1000 for a new VFD, As I am en electrician I have some contacts and friends in the field, I was able to purchase a brand new VFD for $375, a huge savings.
I have been woodturning since 2013, I love it as a creative outlet.
For me it has been a journey, from my great great grandfathers wooden bowl that i own to my fathers the community or woodturners is great, there is lots of help and support out there available at the touch of a button. don't be intimidated or scared to ask questions no matter how basic, most of all be safe in your workshop, follow all safety rules and guidelines.
use channels such as mine as inspiration and entertainment.
it is recommended to get proper training with power tools to prevent accidents
most of all remember to be creative and have fun
safe turning..
