The Lahntalradweg starts at the Lahnquelle on the Lahnkopf in the Rothaargebirge and ends after 245 km at the mouth in the Rhine near Lahnstein.
It is signposted with its own logo, but also partially with the Hessen logo. R 2 or Hessen R 7, because these two Hessen long-distance cycle routes are partially identical to the Lahn valley cycle route.
Three federal states flow through the Lahn. The first 23 km it winds through North Rhine-Westphalia, the other 165 km it flows through Hessen and the last 57 km to the confluence with the father Rhine in Rheinland-Pfalz.
We start our first stage from Bad Laasphe campsite
Wasserstrasse 66

and ride the bike about 20 km back to the Lahnspring.
