Humungus! Well done on staying calm and working with the little fella thru that stressful netting process. A good example for Dad's everywhere. Great to see Lucas get one too.

Yeah, tough love. When he was really little, I would hook the fish and pass it off to him, but he can catch his own now!

Was going to head down to Lake tyers soon to target large flatheads, just wondering if you had any tips on which arm to target, the Nowa nowa arm or the first one. and also which places to launch from, I am using a hobie kayak. Any tips on spots and techniques would be great. thanks

I haven’t had all that much luck there, so I’m far from and expert. Most of the fish I hear about are caught in the big lake. I fish the Nowa Nowa arm, just because I camp in Nowa Nowa, but the fishing in that arm has never been that good for me. If you want to catch lots of small fish, I would say 2.5-3 inch plastics. If you are targeting bigger fish, I would go with 4-5inch, or even bigger, plastics. Cast close to the banks, right up in the shallows. The big fish seem to be caught in pretty shallow water. I will be fishing there from the 11th of Nov for about 4 day, if you want to message me at Marx Fishing, on Facebook, I can give you a report from my time there.
