A great technique to learn, no matter what martial art you practice, TKD, Karate, Kung-Fu, Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, etc. Look for the next clip in a day or two. And don't forget to subscribe!
Thanks for this and the other vids. I did Lama for a while back in 1999 or 2000 in NYC. It was great to see your video and remember. I'll be looking forward anything else you make on Lama. Thanks again.

The beauty of Kung Fu is that it always will be underestimated by the fools who only think with their eyes, until becomes painfully apparent, although it is always better to evade needless confrontation. Regards from a humble student of Ng Gar King

Every style like every strategy and te chinque has pros and cons, strong and weak points. His stance apears weak because he should rely more on footwork than stance work. And if he does know his suff, you will find that attacking his balance leads you into a trap. The same goes for trying a takedown. Don't get me wrong, You made good points, I just know what he is getting at and where he will go with it.

quite accurate on your theory, I trained Lama in Canada with Lama Master from Hong Kong. mixing lama punches with right foot work is very powerful and will really give you advantage over traditional kick boxer move due to Lama non-linear, 360 degree motion of punches

Who was your teacher, and his lineage?

I totally love your videos,❤ also there are no schools on lama or twc in my area, so I ordered david ross books on lama pai and lion roar kung-fu, I'm also learning from your videos, as far as the basics go, lama pai and pak hok pai are rather easy to learn. Oh yeah I am 1 of your subscribers.

The latest video on this channel is 13 years old. I don't think it's really active any more. Truthfully, there are few schools of lama anywhere. And, its interesting to note how the lineages have changed so much in only a few generations (Hop Gar, White Crane, Lama). Good luck on your journey though!

The swinging motion is similar to a boxer's hook punch. It's designed to get around a block and it's very hard to see when thrown correctly.

Simple and direct...very nice penetrating fist...and to the others...seek similarities over differences and you can elevate yourself...focus more on differences and you're just another part of the problem in life and combat...

As the old adage says, I'll believe it if I see it. No ones stopping you or anyone else from proving it.

okay, I'd be excited to see it done. No offense, I really would, but til a fighter comes out using this stuff I'm not taking no leap of faith.

wouldnt it be easier 4 him to block if ur swinging that wide arc motion 4 me personally i would of just stepped bak n attack his spine neck etc

It is a hook, but hitting with the palm. Hitting with the side of the fist of knucles is much harder however and wont trouble anyone who has tuffened their fist. Why doesn't he have a better stance? Its weak his is open to miss balance and takedowns. Once again, things you don't think of if your art isn't actually used.
