Lamar's 2023 completion percentage is 71.5 the highest in the league right now. He's improving his passing game under a new offense on the spread under new OC Todd Monken and finally Lamar has weapons in the receiving end. Yes he's 1-3 in the play-offs in the Greg Roman run heavy offense. I remember one time Peyton Manning was 0-5 in the play-offs in his first 5 years. Lamar has won 75% of his games he is better than Josh Allen, Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow this season and also he's in the mvp conversation right now.

Every rpo QB should have at least a 70% comp percentage since teams are overplaying the threat of you running. This team before Lamar missed the playoffs 4 out of 5 seasons since the last SB ring. They were on the verge of missing the playoffs again with Flacco who had the team at 4-5. LJ WR corps have been bottom 5 in skill every season. LJ won in spite of Greg Roman who called by many experts “a broken passing scheme.” Name me a QB who can take Willie Snead, Seth Robert’s and Hollywood brown to the playoffs. His BEST WR last season was Demarcus Robinson respectfully. Many would say that he doesn’t have best skill position players in his division Even now with the most talent he’s ever been given this season. I know a troll job when I see one.

Demarcus Robinson was number 7th on the Rams depth chart this season but Cooper Kupp is back from injury so Robinson is now 8th. I'm not sure if they even keep that many WRs, that is basically practice squad level. That was Jackson's best WR. I’m sorry. I expect better from you. The Ravens went 8-9 in 2021 as the D stunk. Yes but what was their record before Jackson went down? 8-3. So the D was trash and they still won with Jackson and without him lost every game. Apparently he lost the Sunday gave vs Cleveland when the Ravens were up 31 -17 in the fourth. Defense played no role in that choke job. But worse is the “media bias”. Nick Wright didn’t have the Ravens making the playoffs this year. Ryan Clark was a Steeler and rarely says good things about the Ravens unless it’s pretty obvious. While the Ravens defense has definitely helped with Jackson success it’s pretty clear you either don’t like the guy or don’t watch the games. Ignoring putting up 500 yards in the loss vs the Titans in the playoffs or somehow forgetting the Titans defense ranking of 6 when he won where he had more rush yards than Henry and more passing than Tannehill. Herbert out here with a career .500 winning record and blows a 28-0 lead in the playoffs. Allen leads the league in INT every year since he been in the league but Jackson is who this video is on? Don’t get me wrong Jackson can and needs to be better but in the most team game to act like he is just surrounded with talent and is being carried is absolutely ludicrous. To act like the media treats him like Burrow (whose Defense constantly got TO in the playoffs and has two or three great WR) is absurd. I’m no Jackson fanatic (maybe a Ravens one) and maybe his MVP odds are a bit high but that award goes to the QB on the best team. Given the Ravens are record wise the second best team in the AFC it makes sense the odds are high.

You can go back two months and watch my video on Josh Allen being GARBAGE. That was wha title word he got on his video, aaaaand he was in a dumpster on that thumbnail. Allen stands shoulder to should alongside Lamar Jackson as the most overrated players in the NFL. As for Herbert HARD disagree on that one. Herbert has the misfortune of having the worst, most bummish coach in the ENTIRE league. Harbaugh is EASILY one of the best. Also the Chargers despite having Austin Ekeler are a TRASH run game. The Ravens are the best and that is NOT all about Lamar anymore. FINALLY the chargers defense is pure ASS every year. The ravens are second in yards allowed right now and first in points allowed LOL. Give Herbert the Ravens defense since he has been in the league, his playoff resume would look more like Joe Burrow than Lamar Jackson. There are no excuses for him this year. It's time to win more than one playoff game.
@seanswinton6242
11 ай бұрын
I agree. Plus Lamar Jackson isn't saying much. He's trying to improve. This is all media driven. Not once has Lamar Jackson blamed anyone for his failures or cried for help. Actually, he's worn a t-shirt that says his philosophy, "NOBODY CARES, WORK HARDER" to press conferences. Personally, I blame Lamar Jackson for his playoff performances, but his first one I view as a learning experience. Had Lamar Jackson played as well as he did when Flacco got injured, the Ravens would have likely missed the playoffs his first year. In spite of the numerous injuries to the Ravens the last couple of years following his MVP year, Lamar Jackson performed OK. His backfield were pulling players from the street and he was performing RB and QB duties, 2 jobs for one check. Imo, this contract was earned. The media is still bitter because Lamar Jackson negotiated w/o one of the leagues known agent.
@billywilliams8378

@@skap_attack I missed the Allen one. I’ll go back n watch it. But Harbaugh a great coach but Stanley isn’t? Has Stanley team had a top 2 D in the league and give up 17 in the fourth to a QB with a broken arm? Has Stanley dropped the most games when winning in the fourth over the past few years? Harbaugh does the same analytical things like going for it on fourth and two point conversions which is a reason when Jackson went down in 21 the team lost every game. Against Jackson you use passing yards. Who is he throwing to? Not Mike Willams and Kennan Allen. Jackson OC from 19 to 22 was known for developing a run game and having the most basic pass concepts. But Herbert gets a pass for a bad coach and Jackson gets ridiculed for not having good passing numbers when his coach rarely wanted passing (even before Jackson)? The best player outside Andrews Jackson has ever thrown to is old OBJ. The Ravens had Deshaun Jackson out there and Dez Bryant. Give Jackson Willams and Allen and his playoff record better than the 0-1 chick job Herbert did last year which he only had the less because his supposedly bad D had like 5 INT

Bringing up passing yards and tds to say Lamar isn’t an great passer tells me you don’t know ball. Those stats heavily depend on the offensive system you’re in. If you’re in a run heavy offense (which Lamar was in with Greg Roman), of course you’re not gonna have as many passing yards & tds as a qb in a pass first offense (Josh Allen, burrow, Jared Goff, etc.). This year, the ravens are top 5 in yards per attempt. The first time in Lamar Jackson’s career and it came after firing Greg Roman. You wanna bring up his defense being great. That’s fine and true. Tell me about the other qbs great defenses. Joe burrow went to the sb with a top 5 scoring defense. Josh Allen has had great defenses for the last few years. Mahomes won his first sb with a top 10 scoring defense. You wanna know the difference between Lamar and the rest of them. I was expecting this year to be his coming out season. I was expecting like 800 yards rushing and 4500ish passing. He is on pace for the 800, but only around 3600 passing. Lamar Jackson isn’t a bum in my opinion. He’s a modern day Michael Vick. Lamar is a top tier player, but not a top tier Quarterback. His completion percentage is incredible this year so his accuracy is improving, but his legs are a far better weapon than his arm. By your measurement he is a bum. I can’t disagree with your opinion based on your criteria. We have different perspectives, but I respect where you’re coming from.
@skap_attack
11 ай бұрын
Coming into this season, his career average for completion percentage was 22nd league wide in 6 seasons as a starter. Just as mediocre as his yards per game average. His completion percentage this season is a complete sham. He leverages the ravens rushing game (which in part DOES include him, but also is system specific and the coaches should get credit for that) to pass to wide open guys 10 yards and in to the line of scrimmage. Zay Flowers is an absolute WEAPON. Lamar has flat out MISSED him on like 5 or 6 50+ yards tds this year. That dude just beats his guy all game long every game. It's an absolute waste and a shame how they've been utilizing him this season because Lamar can't throw more than 10 yards down the field. Also, he looks to be lacking the desire OR the ability to use his legs like he has in the passed. He simply does not have the same burst and explosion as he had a few years ago. And he is ONLY like 26 years old!

The reality is this; Lamar Jackson deserved his first MVP. He had a great season as a passer and a runner. I believe he ran for like 1200 yards or something, which is ridiculous. He had a 6-1 td int ratio with 36 tds to 6 ints. Completed over 66% passes and had a rating of 113.3. To say he sucks as a passer is dumb. He’s a good passer, but not an elite passer. His 2nd MVP however, he did not deserve. Brock Purdy had a way better season with over 600 more passing yards, 7 more tds and much better in completion percentage and QBR. Purdy was 5th in passing yards, 1st in yards per attempt, 3rd in tds, and 1st in QBR. Even CMC deserved the MVP over Lamar this year.

The ravens have 1 of the highest time of possessions. All of the top 5 time of possession teams defenses look better than they are, like my team, 9ers. Though our D is good, not superb. Just saying

Bro, as a Ravens fan I'll point out this. Lamar can throw accurately or with the same arm strength throwing towards the sidelines. And health. This year I wanted to see what he'd do with weapons and it's the same throwing issues. But, I wouldn't call him a bum.
@skap_attack

His completion percentage is a complete sham. He leverages the ravens rushing game (which in part DOES include him, but also is system specific and the coaches should get credit for that) to pass to wide open guys 10 yards and in to the line of scrimmage. Zay Flowers is an absolute WEAPON. Just watching redzone and not the entirety of all of their games this year, I have seen at minimum 5-7 50+ yard Tds Lamar flat out MISSED him on. Like, any marginal NFL QB would have made the passes. Also, he looks to be lacking the desire OR the ability to use his legs like he has in the passed. He simply does not have the same burst and explosion as he had a few years ago. AND he is ONLY like 26 years old. Luckily for Baltimore they have the best defense in the league. Otherwise, this has the makings of being a truly franchise destroying contract they gave him. And ultimately, you don't make a guy the highest paid player in league history for winning one playoff game. Best defense in the league, best running game in the league. Go win multiple playoff games this year, Lamar.

Lamar Jackson scored more for the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs last year than he did his own team with a pick 6. Once he faces a team in the playoffs with a top Defense who isn't the Texans, he will fall apart like he usually does, while Josh Allen has 21 TDs and 4 INT in the playoffs and now he is a bum somehow. They're giving him MVP to please an audience.

@@Spliffkage Lamar Jackson didn't lead the league in a damn thing. Josh Allen led in TDs, set 3 records, and dragged a team that was 6-6 with half a defense to the 2nd round. Lamar can't win against top D's, that's thy the Steelers beat him twice. The Bills beat them with half a defense too. Lamar can't score more than 1 TD consistently against great D's. @@Spliffkage you know damn well, if Lamar had 15 more TDs than Purdy, and more passing yards, and broke the record for rushing TDs, and they still gave the MVP to Purdy. All we would hear is cries of "Racism!!!", just like we do everytime someone criticizes this coddled QB. They didn't want to pay him for a reason, not bc he is black. It's bc he isn't that smart. He can't read the field. He had a 1.5 GPA in college, and talks like he is in the Special Olympics, instead of the NFL. They didn't believe in him and were pressured into paying for him, you guys will regret it when he gets hurt and can't even play anymore bc he can no longer run, he tears an ACL, and his career is over. Not Allen's he can actually pass the ball.

Look at what the Ravens did with that Joe Flacco contract. Dude pulled 3 fluke playoff games out of his ass hole, so the Ravens destroyed YEARS of their potential trying to get out from under it. Lamar steals one garbage league MVP and now they leverage their entire future for it. They had the right idea when they weren't paying him. Should have tried to force him to ride it out on that franchise tag and if he refused, then explore a trade down the road.
