Grown up listening to alternative and a bit of rock, I can say i'm fairly new to the metal genre. Listened to the likes of LoG, Gojira, Trivium, Jinjer since quarantine started and I'm glad I did, coz before I wouldn't even touch this genre with a 10 foot pole (I barely understand what they're growling before) but now I guess I've developed an ear for metal and it's now my go-to genre when I need that extra oomph to make it through a rough day. \[T]/ Blessed be thy metal. \[T]/

05:03 - 05:27 - Art's on fire! That drumming is so spot on! The flow of the rhythm, building in intensity, the intensity of the fills slowly building in length and complexity, following the vocals on the snare then going off beat to build tension to transition to the outro; where he goes into a fairly simple straight 4 beat (with added little cymbal splashes to add texture to those properly listening!). Which makes the riff and the final scream just pop! It's so fucking perfect!!!

@@petethorley5998 it’s their best sounding record production wise imo, but it’s nothing new or exciting. It’s typical lamb of god. It also has two skippers for me, routes and checkmate. I do believe resurrection man is the song of the year though and might be the best song they have written since walk with me in hell. I call it omertà 2. Keep in mind, lamb of god has been my favorite band of their era for 15 years now. Been jamming them since my senior year of high school in 2006. The new trivium record is fresh and exciting with more variety and better songs imo. They have never wrote the same record twice. They did however build upon the previous album and perfected their sound even more. I am also a huge huge trivium fan too. Seen them live 14 times. In this bat shit crazy world we need the primal energy conjured within this song to unite us and give us brotherly and sisterly union against the overlords of depression. May we WAKE UP and take the fight and stand together not apart. Love and all source power to everyone.

The Megadeth tour is supposed to be happening this year. For fucks sake, I hope it does. It’ll be my third time seeing Megadeth and 4th time seeing Lamb of God.

Banda que nunca decepciona! Letras inteligentes, geralmente retratando as aflições humanas, além do instrumental pesado e bem trabalhado. Muito singular, capaz de juntar o peso à agradabilidade. Muito orgulho de ser fã! This is Lamb of God! \m/

By the darkest river, beneath the leafless trees I think I'm drowning, this dream is killing me (Wake up, wake up, wake up) In the coldest winter, between the fading lights I feel I'm falling into a frozen sky (Wake up, wake up, wake up) Past the blackest heaven, above the dying stars I watch me breaking into a million shards (Wake up, wake up, wake up) But through the hardest hour, below the cruelest sign I know I'm waking up from this wretched lie (Wake up, wake up) Wake up A depression fed by overload False perceptions, the weight of the world A universe in the palm of your hand The artifice of endless strands Distraction flows down an obsessive stream Rejection grows into oppressive screams The hardest hour, the cruelest sign I'm waking up from this wretched lie I fight it the same, don't waste this day Wake up, wake up, wake up Memento mori The regression of advancing modes And Imperial corrosive nodes A prime directive to disconnect Reclaim yourself and resurrect Distraction flows down an obsessive stream Rejection grows into oppressive screams The hardest hour, the cruelest sign I'm waking up from this wretched lie I fight it the same, don't waste this day Wake up, wake up, wake up Memento mori There's too many choices And I hear their relentless voices But you've gotta run them out Return to now and shut it down Shut it down A depression fed by overload False perceptions, the weight of the world Because there's too many choices Gotta kill their relentless voices I know I'm waking up from this wretched lie The hardest hour, the cruelest sign I'm waking up from this wretched lie I fight it the same, don't waste this day Wake up, wake up, wake up Wake up, wake up Wake up Memento mori Memento mori this song is the most legendary song of the group🤩
