It is a flavourful cut located at the back side of the lamb where the leg meets the loin. An affordable cut that is lean yet plump, perfect for roasting or cut into steaks. Usually served boneless, one lamb rump makes a good size roast for two!
+ Tips +
• Take care not to trim off too much of the top fat layer as it keeps the meat moist when roasting.
• Best served medium-rare (internal temp 54-57°C).
• Serving size recommendation: 200-250g per person
