Lambeau Field is an outdoor athletic stadium in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the home field of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. It opened in 1957 as City Stadium, replacing the original City Stadium at East High School as the Packers' home field. Informally known as New City Stadium for its first eight seasons, it was renamed in August 1965 in memory of Packers founder, player, and long-time head coach, Curly Lambeau,[1][2] who had died two months earlier.
The new 15,000 square foot, two-level Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame is conveniently located on the main floor of the Lambeau Field Atrium, across from 1919 Kitchen & Tap. A tribute to the greatest story in sports, the new facility uses the latest technology, enhanced interactive displays and a treasure trove of artifacts to educate and inspire visitors about the rich history of the Packers, as well as the teams of today.
