Thank you. Two questions: 1. What is the purpose of the screw in metal near the center of the device? 2. If it moves too hard after some years of usage, how could I fix this? Can it be disassembled for cleaning or can I put oil inside?

The screw near the center of the metal hinge is an adjustment screw that allows you to change the speed in which the hinge closes. Tightening it will make is “snap” closed more efficiently whereas loosening it will allow more time for it to slowly close. If you are experiencing it not closing tight enough for you after years of use, it may just need to be adjusted tighter once more so that it can close flush with the cabinet housing. I am about to install mine now, I just needed some visuals to locate the proper placement. Hope this helps! (Edit) I would not use oil to lubricate the hinge as it could result in a loss of torque holding the door open. I am not an expert, I just know oil and hinges do not mix well on the cabinetry that I am used to installing. Best of luck to you!

@@Tbhyeah , thank you for explanation. Actually, I have quite an opposite problem; after years of usage it is very hard either to open or close the door. So hard, that it breaks screws out of the wall. I tried all the positions of the screw near the center - it didn't help. I гnscrewed from the cabinet and it is really hard to move the parts in hands. Are there any ideas how could I soften it so that it could be used?

@@doctorshadow2482 I have just emailed the designer who ordered these for us so that they can pull up the mechanical specs for the hinges, I will reply when I take a peak at them and see if there is anything that resembles the problems you are having with yours! It’s good to know that these may in fact have a shelf life on them.. I will let my clients know that they may also experience the same thing down the line and also let the designer know that they may need to look for a different brand for future projects if no solution becomes apparent.. You’ll hear from me soon!
