To be franc, it can be crazy hard on the vocal cords - do it too much, and you actually run the risk of growths or fluid gathering along the cords, which can only be removed via surgery. Sounds splendid, but should be used sparingly. And Lana's songs are generally crazy demanding. Not only are their ambitus super broad, but she uses loads of different techniques while singing, which might explain why her performances sort of differ in "quality" - if she's prepared her voice to sing in her head register, her chest register might sound wonky and vice versa. But on her albums, she can prepare her voice to the higher versions, take a break and then prepare her voice for the low parts, and they'll both sound amazing. Okay, rant over. I just read a bunch of pretty mean comments about her from other commenters, where they prepare her with other singers whose repetoire (generally) are a lot less diverse, and I sorta got #triggered :P

This concert shows that del Rey is a very gifted and dangerously good singer. It is easy to say it now, after the girl wrote six or seven chart topping albums, but if anyone thinks that the girl cant sing then he or she has a severe hearing problems. It is hard to believe that she wrote it herself. But she did. A very dangerous singer;)

I wonder if people realize that when you actually sing, you rely on yourself. It's normal to be nervous. What you're hearing is all her. Sorry the idiots you listen to parade around stage half naked and lip sync. Why would be nervous? They don't have any talent to prove. They rely on a track, and their distracting outfits to get through their shows. Lana has genuine, God given talent. The people who think otherwise are the ones who like generic pop artists who lip sync.

I don't know You're screwed up and brilliant You look like a million dollar man So why is my heart broke? [Verse 2] You got the world, but baby, at what price? It's something so strange, it's hard to define It isn't that hard, boy, to like you or love you I'd follow you down, down, down, 'cause you're unbelievable If you're going crazy, just grab me and take me I'd follow you down, down, down; anywhere, anywhere [Chorus] One for the money, two for the show I love you, honey; I'm ready, I'm ready to go How did you get that way? From this footage, you can see that she definitely has the vocal talent - LIVE I mean. I adore her, but she needs someone who can teach her how to compose her performance together. She has definitely improved (LIVE) since this was recorded, and it's mainly to do with nerves, I don't know if she has anyone creatively helping her adjust her vocals for her performances though. :) Anyway, she is an enigma. I hope to one day see her live.
