i am trying to play the guitar transposition of this formidable piece and it is wonderful to hear the violin version played at a slightly slower tempo than a lot of violin virtuosos. This allows the chordal structure of the piece to be more defined, especially by such an accomplished violinist. Its very diffult to illustrate chords in the violin which involves double/triple stopping allied with exact tonal intonation of the arpeggios. Its very impressive.

Am new - very new - to my classical music awakening. This piece was suggested by a reader in another music video so here I am. I've just only finished listening to this piece and it makes me feel like a naked child on a spring day lying on a field of warm grass as the clouds slowly part to reveal an enveloping sky... I don't want to wax poetic but, suffice it to say this piece made an older person (me) very happy and very, very grateful to Lana, who, If, on the off chance she reads these comments, has made one person in the world very happy after a very long in door hibernation due to COVID-19 . She really nails this... it's a one off. Even the sun shining in the church window. Did that just happen or was it timed somehow. there's a hell of a lot of resonance in that church. The sound-man got a bit carried away with the positioning of the mics. It doesn't really need that much resonance to achieve that tone. It's just an inspired performance. I have listened to it a dozen times, or more...
