About our program:
“Land, Liberty, and Loss: Echoes of the American Revolution,” is a scholar-guided, multi-part exploration of our nation’s history and how that history-or misapprehensions of that history-often serves as an obstacle to full democratic and civic flourishing. Consisting of four components-a selection of original essays by noted historians published on HNY’s blog; a series of free, public, virtual events; a new Reading & Discussion module; and HNY-Facilitated Community Conversations- “Land, Liberty, and Loss” will explore historical and ongoing intersections between racial justice, including the centuries-long deprivations endured by Indigenous peoples and the evolution of the American landscape.
