Wow... what a spectacular place Snowdonia is. Have you been? If you live in the UK and you haven't, you need to!
I confess, I had never been to Snowdonia before, but we recently visited on a family holiday, and I was totally blown away. Just a spectacular place. I'm always complaining about how bland and boring the British countryside is, and then there is Snowdonia.
Now, for me it's about a four hour drive, which makes it just about too far to do in a day. Which is a real shame, because it rules it out of my usual photography days out. But I would love to visit during the winter, see what the mountains look like then. Must be absolutely incredible.
Ok then, to the photography. Now, as you know I have a love hate relationship with landscape photography. I love doing it, but I hate the results!
I feel like I'm making some progress on that one. I'm still really enjoying getting out in nature and hiking with my camera, and I'm still not really impressed with the results I'm getting, but I feel like I have a little more insight into why that might be.
There's more thinking to be done on this one, more pondering time to give to the subject. But I think I'm missing a narrative in some of my landscape photography, a story for the image to tell.
Now, the big question is how I find that story. And that is not something I have an answer to right now. But it's something I will be looking into in future videos.
In the meantime, what are your thoughts on this one? Did you like the results? Let me know what your thoughts were while watching!
