Sportsmart had the best fishing department. Some of the best memories of my father were going there before Christmas to pick out our gifts.

Good job here. Last year I went back to my old neighborhood in (South) Omaha, Nebraska retrace my path on my old paper route and seen what was very well manicured lawns and care for homes turn into a war zone place looked like Tijuana, Mexico very, very sad and it is so true one cannot ever go home again.

Exactly I grew up in calumet city . What a great town calumet city was . Vary little to almost no crime . Well keeped homes lawns and etc . In around 1984 blacks started moving into calumet city and whites started to move out . Calumet city now is around 95 percent black . The homes aren't taken care of over grown lawns . You can't drive down the alley ways because they are all full of garbage . There are vacant lots where homes once stood . A one time great town is now another getto shit hole . The same goes for Dolton South Holland Riverdale lansing Burham and anyother surrounding town . I tell my son all the time if calumet city was the same now as when I grew up hear I'd live hear . He doesn't understand it . He tells how could this place ever be nice look at it . It's a shame what them people did to all them communities

At 5:10 .......... I think eventually became Ridge Liquors. I worked there in the early 60's and the vault was still in the basement.
